’90 Day Fiancé’: Tom Brooks Seemingly Makes Fun of Darcey Silva’s Engagement With New Photo
Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks are done with each other. They made that very clear on the last season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. After the season, it was apparent that the two were not on good terms and now Silva has moved on and is engaged to Georgi Rusev. But it seems that Brooks might still be taking digs at his ex.
Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks’ relationship
Silva began dating Brooks after ending things with her season 1 and 2 boo Jesse Meester. Brooks and Silva never seemed to be on the same page. Silva was ready to be engaged while Brooks wanted to take things slower. Silva recently revealed that Brooks did actually propose once after a night of drinking but she didn’t take him seriously.
“I never gave him a response because I didn’t trust him,” Silva recently told Entertainment Tonight. “He’d been drinking too. … I don’t know, we were all like, ‘What?’ I didn’t take him seriously. I was kinda like, was he just trying to say this to make himself feel better about what just happened earlier that night? So, I was just like, if he’s gonna do it, at least get on a knee, but he was sitting in a chair with, you know, some champagne or something in his hand.”
The two ended things last season after Brooks began dating other women and told Silva that she had gained weight.
Darcey’s engagement
In October, Silva revealed that she had gotten engaged to her boyfriend Rusev in June.
“I still feel newly engaged,” Silva recently told People. “I haven’t been able to really celebrate it yet with everybody. I want to be able to shout it to the world. It was definitely a total surprise for me. Georgi and I have a very deep connection, and I feel like in that moment I was not expecting it at all.”
According to Silva, Rusev is exactly what she has been looking for.
“I’ve always wanted a partner in life where you can raise each other up and not shoot each other down. I decided the next relationship I got in, I would say what I want,” she told the outlet. “We’re able in the end to work it all out, rise above and stay strong for the love that we know we share because our future is so great.”
Did Tom Brooks throw shade at Darcey Silva?
Since breaking up with Brooks, Silva has spoken openly about how unhealthy the relationship was.
“It’s just, that was such a toxic relationship,” she told Us Weekly. “I was very happy to walk away from that relationship and have stayed strong throughout that journey. … The last time I saw [Tom] was actually in person was when I shut the door on him.”
Brooks has also said some pretty shady things about Silva in return. So, when he donned his sister’s wedding dress and posted a picture of him in it, fans guessed that his snarky comment was directed at his ex.
“Friday night bride,” he wrote. “What do you think of my wedding dress? Happy Friday the 13th.”
Silva’s wedding has recently been put on hold due to Rusev needing to finalize his divorce, so Brooks’ comment could have definitely been a dig at her.
