Lisa confirms she and Usman have split

After a tumultuous time on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Lisa has confirmed that her marriage to Usman is all but over. In a recent statement, the reality star slammed Usman for pulling a “romance scam” on her and told fans that their relationship is dead in the water.

According to Soap Dirt, Lisa claimed that Usman only agreed to marry her so that he could have a chance to move to the United States. She stated that Usman is “so desperate” to be successful in music that he lied to her, her family, and her friends to get in the spotlight.

Lisa then claimed that Usman has blocked her on social media before calling him “nothing more than a scammer.” She also said that Usman is fortunate that she cannot travel due to the coronavirus pandemic or else she’d fly to Nigeria and confront him.

In light of Lisa’s controversial comments, Usman recently appeared on The Domenick Nati Show to share his side of the story. Although Usman refused to say that their marriage is over, he did address the accusations that he only did the show for fame.

Usman fires back he used ’90 Day Fiancé’ for fame

Despite all of Lisa’s behavior (which included calling him the n-word on multiple occasions), Usman assured listeners that his main goal was to please Lisa. He also revealed that he didn’t do the show solely to gain fame. As proof, he said that he would not have married anyone just to have a chance in the spotlight.

That said, he also admitted that he has taken advantage of being on a reality show. In the interview, Usman said that he used TLC to gain fame, but he also asked the question, “Are you trying to tell me that TLC did not use me too?”

While it is pretty clear that Lisa thinks their relationship is over, Usman pointed out that they are still technically married. The 90 Day Fiancé star noted that things are not going well and that neither of them is in a happy place.

Usman, who is over twenty years younger than Lisa, was also asked if he ever truly loved his wife, a question he refused to answer. We cannot say for sure if Usman’s intentions were pure, but we definitely should learn more about what unfolded in the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all.

TLC has yet to air the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all, which was filmed remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic. But the footage was recently leaked online that offered fans a preview on what’s to come.

In the leaked footage, Lisa and Usman got into a major fight. At one point in their argument, Usman revealed that she has called him the n-word, a comment that sparked plenty of controversy with fans.

Lisa has since apologized for using the racial slur, though viewers still aren’t happy with her behavior. In light of all the drama, Lisa said that she is taking a break from social media.
