The controversial couple is set to appear again soon on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé. On Nov. 24, they took to social media to start a new joint account and announce that they were still together.

Both 90 Day Fiancé fans and Ilesanmi’s friends have often called Deem “controlling.” She often worried about her younger man’s whereabouts, wondered if he was seeing other women or going out without her, and monitored his social media accounts for evidence that he might be cheating or looking elsewhere.

The TLC couple’s Nov. 25 special, 90 Day Fiancé: Angela & Michael: Our Continuing Journey, suggested that Deem’s fears might not always have been unfounded. Viewers saw a shady secret that Deem and Ilesanmi hid about their relationship on the special.

Deem said she and Ilesanmi struggled with trust

On the special, 90 Day Fiancé fans saw Deem argue with her Nigerian partner about how many younger, beautiful women he followed on Facebook. Issues with trust have been an ongoing problem in their relationship, and Deem revealed why.

She told TLC producers that she was about to reveal “a secret that’s so painful, I haven’t told nobody about it.”

As Deem and Ilesanmi argued, she brought up a time early in their relationship when he was unfaithful. “You say a girl in your neighborhood didn’t have no ride, didn’t have no money,” she reminded him, adding that he allegedly accepted oral sex from the woman as “payment.”

“I did the BJ thing,” Ilesanmi admitted, but said that was the only time he had been disloyal. “Apart from that…I didn’t do anything with anyone else,” he claimed at the time.

The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star caught her future husband in a lie

But Deem wasn’t buying Ilesanmi’s story any more, now that she’d seen his social media full of other women.

“We got over that, right? Because you were honest to me,” Deem said, adding: “We wasn’t that serious then…Michael told me the girl was really aggressive, so he really didn’t know what was happening until it was too late.”

But now that the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star had “caught him in other lies,” she said she wasn’t sure anymore.

Deem accused her younger fiance of seeking out a hookup and lying to her about why it happened. She accused him, “Something’s telling me you lied about that too…I think you went to the club…you didn’t want me to know you were out looking to f***.”

Finally, Ilesanmi reluctantly admitted that Deem had figured out the truth. “You’re absolutely right. You’re right, baby,” he said sadly.

Deem didn’t know if she could trust her man after he revealed the shady secret

The 90 Day Fiancé star was livid and wondered if she should even stay with Ilesanmi, given his dishonesty. “There’s a big difference in making a mistake,” she said, versus “going to the bar with your friends, looking for a woman, and hooking up.”

Deem added angrily, “He lied about this for over a year.” She added that she had thought she hit the “jackpot” and that he would be “loyal.”

Ilesanmi claimed that he’d been trying to “protect” Deem from getting hurt. “I told Angela that’s what happened even though it’s not the truth,” he told producers. “I don’t want her to get upset because I know the kind of woman I’m dating.”

Ultimately, the couple obviously reconciled. 90 Day Fiancé fans will get to see the rest of their story play out on Season 7.
