’90 Day Fiancé’: Why Elizabeth Cried on Her Wedding Day With Andrei

The moment Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet have been anticipating on the fifth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has finally happened. On the Sept. 20 episode, they had their dream wedding in Moldova in front of both of their families. But unfortunately, there was some drama that ultimately left Elizabeth in tears.

There was a fight between Andrei and Charlie at the wedding

Things had already been tense between them due to an argument over dinner that happened earlier in the season. Charlie had expressed concern that Andrei was hiding something while Andrei argued that his past was no one’s business but his own. After nearly coming to blows, they ultimately agreed to try to keep the peace — at least until the trip was over. But tensions arose once again on their wedding day.

While Chuck gave a speech at the reception, a drunken Charlie ripped the microphone away and started bashing his brother-in-law. “Get your sh*t together. Don’t come to America and try to live off my dad. Don’t ask my dad for sh*t, OK? Come to America and earn your sh*t, OK?” he said, before Chuck regained control of the microphone.

From there, Charlie became increasingly annoyed and irate throughout the ceremony. When Chuck reminded him that it was Elizabeth’s big day and told him to calm down, Charlie even shot back, “I don’t give a f*ck.”

Elizabeth broke down amid the drama

After Charlie stormed away, Elizabeth started venting to Chuck about their family issues. She started to cry as she reflected on the drama between them and how it was ruining her wedding day.

“They don’t pick the right place or the right place to do any of their bullsh*t. They have zero regard, and I just want everybody to dance and have a good time. I don’t want to this right now,” she explained, with her voice cracking and tears rolling down her face.

Chuck urged her to try and forget about what happened, as the scene cut to Elizabeth telling cameras she fears their families will never be able to get along.

Ushering her outside, Andrei apologized for what happened and informed her that he wanted to make things right. “I just want to say that I love you. I care about you and our daughter and nothing else matters,” he added as Elizabeth continued to sob.

“I love you too, baby. I don’t want anybody to fight,” she said through tears as Andrei hugged and kissed her.

After Andrei consoled her, they went back inside to dance before the reception ended. Fans can see what happened after the reception on the next episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? It airs at 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 on TLC.
