Even though Colt and Jess are in a relatively new relationship, Jess has already noticed Colt communicating with a woman named Vanessa Guerra. Jess tells Colt not to speak with her anymore, and he promises to go along with that. However, he’s still talking to Vanessa, and she even comes over to his house for dinner and drinks before Colt and Debbie leave for Brazil.

Colt says Vanessa is just a friend, and she agrees to watch their cats while Colt and Debbie are away on vacation. However, Colt has admitted to producers in the past that he’s slept with Vanessa once before, and that he also has a crush on her.

Debbie stirs the pot and causes some trouble

When Colt, Debbie, and Jess arrive in São Paulo, Debbie takes the time to call Vanessa and give her some information on how the trip has been going. She also gets an update on her cats, and when Colt and Jess come to Debbie’s room to invite her out for the evening, Debbie mentions that she spoke to Vanessa, and that the cats are doing great.

This is all news to Jess, who reacts confused and looks in Colt’s direction. He agrees with his mother that Vanessa is watching the cats, and things get tense. Debbie says Vanessa is doing it for her, not Colt. Of course Jess is upset, considering Colt promised her he wouldn’t talk to Vanessa anymore, and he has admitted in the past on camera that he has a crush on Vanessa.

Why Jess contacts Colt’s friend Vanessa

Jess gets up and leaves the room, and who can blame her? Let’s just say a lot of women would feel the same way she does. Her boyfriend lied to her about another woman, so how can she trust what he says now? It’s totally understandable why she would be upset and want some legitimate answers.

They don’t live in the same city, and trust is everything in any relationship, but it’s especially important in a long-distance situation. Jess trusted Colt was telling her the truth, and when she learns he wasn’t, it’s a major blow to the relationship.

How can Jess ever trust Colt again or a word he says? She has to contact Vanessa to find out the truth about what’s really going on, since she feels she can’t trust Colt anymore. And what she learns makes her leave the hotel.

What does Jess learn?

’90 Day Fiancé’: Why Colt Johnson Feels ‘Nervous’ About Meeting Jess Caroline’s Father

Jess heads outside to cool off, and she also takes the time to contact Vanessa to find out the truth for herself. Jess says she’s “hurt” because Colt said he wouldn’t talk with Vanessa anymore. Apparently, Colt sent Jess some screenshots of a conversation with Vanessa. Jess trusted Colt, especially after seeing Colt message Vanessa saying he loved Jess and to leave him alone.

“I got Vanessa’s information from Colt’s cell phone,” Jess says to the cameras. “So I sent texts to Vanessa, and asked about her relationship with Colt. She says it’s true. About her and Colt. They’re still talking.”

Jess is upset, and she goes to her hotel room where Colt is and throws her shoes at him. She tells Colt he lied, and she shows him her phone. Jess says he’s still friends with Vanessa, and that they talk every day. Jess storms off again, and eventually ends up leaving the hotel. She says she’s going to sleep with her ex, and Colt is unable to get her to stay.

Are Colt and Jess done for good? We’ll hopefully get some answers in the next episode.
