ABC’s A Million Little Things Season 4 returned with many new recurring and guest cast members, but it’s also common to see characters leaving at the end of a season. The ensemble cast has mostly stuck together for the last four seasons. David Giuntoli, Grace Park, Tristan Byon, Romany Malco, Christina Moses, Allison Miller, Lizzy Green, and James Roday Rodriguez are staples of the show.
However, Stéphanie Szostak and Chance Hurstfield left for France in the A Million Little Things Season 4 premiere, and viewers worry that Delilah might never return to the show. In addition to Szostak, two other cast members could leave A Million Little Things after season 4 ends.
Will Delilah return to ‘A Million Little Things’?
Since Showbiz Cheat Sheet reported Szostak’s switch from series regular to recurring character in September 2021, the director has not provided any updates to her status on A Million Little Things. Creator and executive producer DJ Nash revealed that Szostak lived away from her family during filming seasons 1 and 2. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic changed everything. She couldn’t travel back and forth to see her family as easily, so she was not in as many episodes. For A Million Little Things Season 4, Szostak decided to act in fewer episodes and spend more time with her family.
“She’s in a couple early on, and then I know where we’re going for the season finale,” Nash told TVLine. “And then hopefully in the middle, if she’s able to and we have the stories for it, we’ll do that, as well. I’m hoping we see her more than we saw her last year.”
However, as viewers go into A Million Little Things Season 4 Episodes 13 and 14, there’s still no sign of Delilah. She has no storylines, and it doesn’t sound like viewers miss Delilah. Szostak might not return for A Million Little Things Season 5, but nothing is confirmed.
Is Sophie leaving ‘A Million Little Things’?
In A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 12, Sophie Dixon (Lizzy Greene) left with her band for a tour. After a heart-to-heart, Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) gave his blessing. However, it doesn’t look like Sophie is leaving A Million Little Things. Although she is very active with her fans, she didn’t share a “farewell” post on social media. Plus, many arcs on the series followed characters on journeys outside of Boston. Maggie ventured abroad for a while but eventually found her way back. It looks like Sophie will do the same.
Cam is probably leaving ‘A Million Little Things’
Camden Lamoureux (Ryan Hansen) and Maggie Bloom (Miller) had closure in the March 16 episode. Although he desperately wanted to reconcile with Maggie, she told him it wouldn’t happen. In the press release for A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 14, “School Ties,” fans get a tease of where Maggie and Gary’s relationship is heading.
“Now that Maggie and Gary have found their way back together, they take important steps to secure their future as a couple,” the ABC synopsis reads.
It looks like Maggie and Cam are over, so there’s no reason for Cam to continue with the series. We predict that Cam leaves A Million Little Things after season 4.
Darcy already left the ABC drama
Although Floriana Lima starred in many episodes of A Million Little Things as Darcy, it looks like her time on the show has come to an end. Darcy and Gary ended their relationship in A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 4. DJ Nash teased her possible return, which viewers saw in episode 6. Darcy was pregnant with her ex-husband’s baby when she ran into Gary at a bakery.
Stephen (Derek Richardson) appeared on the series when Liam (Mattia Castrillo) traveled from Lenox to confide in Gary in the midseason finale. The episode provided the closure that Gary needed with Darcy. She probably won’t appear again unless she visits her friend, Katherine. There’s also a small chance that a strange and shocking twist brings her back — if Gary ends up the father of Darcy’s baby.
Delilah, Cam, and Darcy could all be leaving A Million Little Things after season 4. However, Sophie Dixon is probably sticking around.
A Million Little Things Season 4 airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC and is available for streaming the next day on Hulu.
