What happened to Sophie on ‘A Million Little Things’?

Things only got worse with Sophie Dixon (Lizzy Greene) in the A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 16 recap. She dreamt that she saw a former student of her music teacher, Layla (Emily Giannozio), in her bedroom. Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller) suggested that she become part of a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. She looked at the website, but it rattled her. She went to see Rome instead and asked him about his thoughts when he felt suicidal.

“I ran out of reasons to live,” Rome told Sophie.

He explained that he was tired of hurting and pretending to be happy. If he hadn’t gotten that call from Gary about Jon Dixon (Ron Livingston), he wouldn’t be here today. He compared his situation to Sophie and Layla’s. Rome explained that being strong is knowing to tell someone when they are feeling down.

His conversation with Sophie was so powerful that she decided to go to the police about her music teacher, Peter (Andrew Leeds). He sexually assaulted her and probably did the same thing to Layla. So, Sophie wanted to get justice for both teenagers.

‘A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 16 recap’: Katherine and Alan

Although Katherine is very nervous about her “first date in over 12 years,” she finally planned a date with Alan. However, before she headed out for her date, she found out that he’s a member of an online dating app. Her legal assistant, Carter French (Sam Pancake), finally reappeared in the series. He signed Katherine up for the same dating app, and that’s how she found Alan on it.

The new couple has a picnic in a local park; however, when she’s in the middle of telling a story, Alan texts someone. Katherine gets upset and tells Alan about the dating app. However, he was only texting a friend to bring shaved ice to them in the park. She admitted that she should work through her jealousy issues before dating. But Alan gets upset and tells Katherine that he won’t wait for her anymore. He shouldn’t be punished for what Eddie did to her.

When she got home from the date that night, she sanded out the mark she and Eddie made on their dining room table. She symbolically began to erase the pain that he caused her.

‘A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 16 recap’: Regina and Rome

Meanwhile, in A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 16, Regina and Rome Howard have financial difficulties. Since Gina’s concussion, she had trouble multitasking at her restaurant, and it already wasn’t doing well because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Rome’s film was dropped because of the virus, so he attempted to get back into commercials.

However, the first one he is proposed is about root beer being part of the change at a Black Lives Matter protest. It’s offensive and inappropriate, and Rome decided not to direct it. Later at Regina’s restaurant, she finds out that payroll loans are no longer available in their area and begins to panic. Rome calmed her down by lying. He told her that he took the commercial. So, he called the producer back and agreed to take the commercial to the dismay of his foster son, Tyrell (Adam Swain).

Later, Rome admitted that he wakes up in the morning for his wife and foster son. That’s why he’s going to do the commercial he doesn’t believe in. However, Regina admitted that she

Eddie had a great visit with Theo

Eddie promised Theo a video game, Max Throttle 4, for his visit; however, he can’t secure it. He ordered it two weeks ago, but it’s out of stock. He found it at a local store, but Gary wouldn’t leave Eddie alone with the kids (Eddie and Liam). Gary couldn’t believe that Eddie already tried to break the rules of their agreement with Katherine about Gary supervising his visitation with Theo.

Eddie attempted to get rideshare; however, the driver took one look at Eddie and drove by him. Luckily, Regina took Eddie to secure the game for Theo. When Eddie returned to the apartment, Theo’s eyes lit up. He was excited for his dad to beat Gary in Guitar Hero.

Also, in A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 16, Gary realized that things aren’t going so well with Darcy. Since he kept trying to fix all of his friends’ problems, he has neglected his relationship with Darcy. She was upset that Eddie moved in with him instead of her.

“You’re a good friend Gary. Sometimes I wish I could be one of your friends,”

Will Gary and Darcy break up?

Darcy’s ex-husband wanted to talk to her about a job offer he received. Steven has the opportunity to move for a job, but wanted to see if Darcy could come since they share custody of their son, Liam. It looked like Darcy was ready to move unless Gary puts up a fight for her.
