That ’70s Show premiered in August 1998 on FOX. The comedy series ran for eight seasons and became the second-longest-running live-action series for the network at the time. Because of its popularity, That ’70Show featured several cameos throughout its run. A few of those cameos involved stars from shows like The Office and How I Met Your Mother

The sitcom, which was about six teenagers who lived in fictional Point Place, Wisconsin from 1976 to 1979, kickstarted actors’ careers like Topher Grace and Mila Kunis.

In addition to being a platform for young actors, That ’70s Show capitalized on guest-appearances from popular actors in the 1970s. From Tanya Roberts playing Donna Pinciotti’s (Laura Prepon) mom to ’70s celebrities like Mary Tyler Moore and Eve Plumb of The Brady BunchThat ’70s Show featured several stars from the groovy decade.

Other notable guest stars included Airplane star Robert Hays, Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams, Three’s Company‘s Don Knotts, Tom Bosley and Marion Ross, who played Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham of Happy Days. Featuring these celebrities of yesteryear made the series more appealing to a broader audience.

In addition to the 1970s celebrity cameos, That ’70s Show featured several other actors who are now big stars. Lindsay Lohan is one of the most notable cameos on That ’70s Show. That’s because she and Fez actor Wilmer Valderrama were together in reality at the time. The Mean Girls star played Danielle during season 7 — a woman torn between Fez and Kelso (Ashton Kutcher).

2 celebs from ‘The Office’ appeared on ‘That ’70s Show’

Amy Adams appeared on the series in 2000 during the season 2 episode “Burning Down the House.” She played Kat Peterson, the most popular girl in school. Five years later, Adams went on to guest star on The Office as Jim Halpert’s (John Krasinski) short-term girlfriend.

Ironically, Adams isn’t the only Office star to have appeared on That ’70s Show. Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on The Office, but she appeared as Stacy Wanamaker in season 7 of That ’70s Show

Other notable cameos on That ’70s Show include Betty White, Luke Wilson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Bruce Willis, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Melissa Joan Hart, and Jessica Simpson.

‘How I Met Your Mother’ star Alyson Hannigan guest-starred on ‘That ’70s Show’

Before Alyson Hannigan was revered for her iconic role in the American Pie films, she was guest-starring on sitcoms.
