In episode 3, Spencer is jogging around the neighborhood and comes home to the Toledo State head coach standing in his kitchen. In the season 4 premiere, he signed the scholarship offer letter from the university. Now, the school wants him to train with the football team as a “true freshman.” So, Spencer will have to leave South Crenshaw for a few weeks to start training at the school. Spencer contemplates leaving home so soon.

Meanwhile, Spencer and Olivia (Samantha Logan) are talking about him leaving for college. She encourages him to go, saying it would be a great opportunity. As a goodbye gift, Spencer made special plans for him and Olivia to do together. Also, he says goodbye to Coop (Bre-Z) and his other friends. Toward the end of the episode, Spencer tells the Toledo State head coach that he will visit the school for a few weeks.

Some fans think Spencer will turn down Toledo State in ‘All American’

Although Spencer is fully committed to Toledo State, many fans believe that he will ultimately turn down the scholarship offer. Since the show centers around former NFL player Spencer Paysinger, some fans believe All American will follow his real-life story.

According to Distractify, Paysinger played for the Oregon Ducks football team at the University of Oregon. He played for the team between 2006 and 2010. Even though the show is loosely based on Paysinger’s life, many fans think Spencer James (in the series) will switch schools and play for Oregon. The show may follow a similar narrative, but it’s too early to tell. For now, fans will have to wait and see what happens next in the show.
