In All American Season 3, Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) leaves Beverly and returns to South Crenshaw High. While many people were happy to see Spencer return to Crenshaw, some were not so thrilled. Frausto, a football team member, didn’t give a warm welcome to the star quarterback. While the character served as a fresh new face in The CW series, some might’ve questioned where they’ve seen the actor before.

Noah Gray-Cabey starred on ‘My Wife and Kids’

Surprisingly, Frausto is played by former child actor Noah Gray-Cabey. In 2001, the young actor made his television debut on the family sitcom My Wife and Kids. Gray-Cabey played the recurring role of Franklin Aloysius Mumford, a child prodigy madly in love with Katy Jay Kyle (Parker McKenna Posey).

He made his first appearance in My Wife and Kids Season 3 Episode 11 titled “Jay the Artist.” The sitcom aired for five seasons on ABC before coming to an end in 2005. After the series, Gray-Cabey made his first feature film debut in the 2006 fantasy thriller Lady in the Water.

He also made cameos in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Ghost Whisperer. In addition, he played the astute Micah Sanders in NBC’s Heroes. The show went on for four seasons and concluded in 2010. Gray-Cabey also had a recurring role in Code Black, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, and most recently, All American

The ‘All American’ actor is a talented pianist

Not only is Gray-Cabey a talented actor, but he is a well-equipped pianist. According to Wiki, he started practicing the piano with a toy keyboard. Soon, the young musician performed in several concert venues throughout New England and Washington at four years old. For his first tour, he traveled to Jamaica with the New England Symphonic Ensemble.

At the age of five, he continued the tour in Australia – becoming the youngest soloist ever to play with an orchestra at the Sydney Opera House, the Queensland Conservatory, and the International Convention in Brisbane. Gray-Cabey recorded a CD with his family, containing recordings of him playing at just four years old. The body of work featured pieces by J. S. Bach, Haydn, Vivaldi, and more.

Gray-Cabey’s parents started an initiative called Action in Music (A.I.M.), which helps young children develop their talents as a musician. Also, it allows them to perform overseas. His family donated the funds raised from the concerts to hospitals and orphanages in those particular countries.
