The All American spinoff follows Simone Hicks (Geffri Maya), an aspiring tennis player from Beverly Hills, and a baseball prodigy named Damon Sims (Peyton Alex Smith). As young college athletes, they try to navigate the college sports world at Barrington University. The CW spinoff series features a talented Black cast that has cemented their place in Hollywood. Here is where you’ve seen the All American: Homecoming cast before.

Actor Geffri Maya is best known for playing Simone Hicks in All American. Maya will continue to play Simone, a Beverly Hills High School graduate who dreams of becoming a professional tennis player in the spinoff series. But, fans might not know the young actor has been active in Hollywood for years. According to IMDb, Maya had her breakout role in ABC’s Private Practice

She portrayed Maya Bennett, the daughter of Dr. Sam Bennett (Taye Diggs) and Dr. Naomi Bennett (Audra McDonald). Aside from starring in the medical drama, she played a minor role in Nasty Habits (2014), Everybody Hates Chris (2008), and East of La Brea (2018).

Actor Peyton Alex Smith will play Damon Sims in the spinoff series. He is a talented high school baseball player who will attend Barrington University and restore the baseball team to its rightful glory. Before landing a lead role in the All American spinoff, Smith starred in another popular CW series called Legacies

Based on the hit teen dramas The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, this spinoff series follows a new generation of supernatural beings attending the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, founded by Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis). Smith also starred in BET’s The Quad, Kathryn Bigelow’s Detroit, Mad Money, and The Longshots.

In the All American spinoff series, Kelly Jenrette will play Amara Patterson, a successful journalism professor, and Simone’s aunt. The actor is best known for her roles on Grandfathered and Manhunt: Deadly Games. In 2018, she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for her guest appearance on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. Also, she played a minor role in Fuller House and Mixed-ish

Cory Hardrict has been active in Hollywood for years before the ‘All American’ spinoff

For over a decade, actor Cory Hardrict has remained booked and busy. Aside from making guest appearances on shows like NCSI, ER, and Law & Order, he has played pivotal roles in television and movies. Hardrict recently starred in the 2021 film Karen. Additionally, he starred in The Oath, Showtime’s The Chi, and CBS’s SWAT. In the spinoff series, the veteran actor will play Coach Marcus Turner, a former baseball player that attended Bringston University.

‘All American’: Everything We Know About the ‘Homecoming’ Spinoff

In the spinoff series, actor Camille Hyde will play Thea Mays, a star tennis player attending the university. When Simone arrives, they become rivals. According to IMDb, Hyde played a small role in American Vandal and the CW spinoff series Katy Keene.

Sylvester Powell will play Jessie Raymond, Jr., an Atlanta native and driven varsity baseball player who befriends Damon in high school. Since Damon is a baseball prodigy, Jessie has always lived in his shadow. Before booking the breakout role in the All American spinoff, Powell starred in Criminal Minds (2005) and Five Points (2018).

Netta Walker will be the life of the party in the ‘All American’ spinoff series 

Actor Netta Walker will play Keisha McCalla, a university administrator at Bringston University who is best known for being the life of the party. Aside from securing a role in the All American spinoff, she starred in Chicago Fire (2012), Come As You Are (2019), and The Big Leap (2021).

Per Variety, the spinoff series will be executive produced and written by All American showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll. Berlanti Productions will produce the series in association with Warner Bros. Television. All American: Homecoming will premiere on Feb. 21, 2022, on The CW.
