Kit Walker loved his wife Alma, and he would never do anything to hurt her — or so he says. Briarcliff Manor believed they were housing the infamous Bloody Face murderer, and technically, they were.

‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ featured a serial killer named Bloody Face

At the beginning of this season, Kit Walker was arrested and brought to Briarcliff Manor. His admittance could be because he was making some ridiculous claims. Strange beings from the sky came down and took his wife? It seemed unlikely.

However, as Kit Walker explained to another patient at the asylum, Lana Winters, he didn’t commit the gruesome murders. Someone else was the killer nicknamed Bloody Face. In fact, fans learned more about the actual Bloody Face killer as American Horror Story: Asylum progressed.

Who was Bloody Face?

Kit Walker was never the Bloody Face killer, even though he was tricked into confessing to the crimes. The true Bloody Face killer was Dr. Oliver Thredson — a court-appointed psychiatrist brought to Briarcliff Manor during this season, portrayed by Zachary Quinto.

When this character first met Lana Winters and Kit Walker, he posed as someone willing to help them escape the asylum. For Lana Winters, that meant curing her homosexuality. For Kit Walker, that recording his Bloody Face murder confession.

Of course, neither action was meant to help these characters. Dr. Thredson’s ulterior motive was to kidnap Lana Winters and transform her into the mother figure he missed his entire life. He even impregnated this journalist in the process.

Eventually, Lana Winters and Kit Walker teamed up to bring this character to justice. They even left Briarcliff Manor, and Kit Walker started a family with Alma and his other lover, Grace. The saga didn’t officially end, though, until Lana Winters killed her son.
