‘American Horror Story’ Season 10 Might Premiere in June, Says Angelica Ross

Fans of 'American Horror Story' are counting down the days until season 10. It's been over a year since the show aired its ninth season, but it's been slow to come back. Offering an update, Angelica Ross says the release date could be in just a few more weeks.

The wait for American Horror Story Season 10 has been long and stressful for a lot of people. It’s been more than a year since the last season of the hit anthology series, which was inspired by classic horror movies of the ’80s. But AHS Season 10 is in the works. Actor Angelica Ross even says it might arrive sooner than people expected it to.

What is ‘American Horror Story’ Season 10 about?

American Horror Story was confirmed for a tenth season well over a year ago, but details about it have been scarce. All we know is that it has a Double Feature theme and will tell two different stories in one season. “One by the sea … one by the sand,” says a teaser video for season 10.

According to Us Weekly, the cast of American Horror Story Season 10 includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angelica Ross, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, Finn Wittrock, Leslie Grossman, and Macaulay Culkin, among others. The outlet also mentions that they allegedly began filming earlier in the year and were supposed to wrap it in March.

Angelica Ross has hinted at the release date for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 10

As of writing, there’s no official release date for American Horror Story Season 10, but Ross has offered up an idea. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly that was published in May, she said: “I think it premieres next month, but I don’t know.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet reached out to FX for additional comment on the premiere date for American Horror Story Season 10 but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Taking into account the fact that AHS usually airs later in the year, that might be a bit hard to believe. But then again, the show was delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, so it seems possible that the team decided to move the release date around.

Whenever it comes back, fans can expect a unique and exciting story. “I think this is okay to say – I think the suspense in this and the tight, constrained nature of the story is different than other seasons,” Finn Wittrock previously told Entertainment Weekly. “I was really interested in trying to mount the pressure in the right way, if that makes sense.”

“What’s fun about this show is that no two things are ever the same,” he added. “It’s like, ‘Do you wanna come in and do this single episode or do you wanna come in and be the lead of this season?’ ‘Do you wanna come be a crazy psycho killer?’ ‘Do you wanna come in and be this relatively normal dad?’ You just never know what you’re gonna get.”
