Justin Timberlake has been trying to conquer the world of Hollywood the same way he conquered the world of music/ He’s put in a lot of effort to build his filming resume, starring in films like Alpha Dog and the Social Network. But the performer’s transition from singing to acting wasn’t a walk in the park. Even after somewhat establishing himself, Timberlake still found he had to shed some of the stigmas that came with being a pop star.

What’s been more of a battle for me throughout the process of moving into acting is that I feel like I have to keep reassuring people that I’m not an asshole,” Timberlake once said according to Interview magazine. “There is a stigma that comes from being on stage and being a musician.”

But, as Timberlake knows, being an actor can present some physical challenges as well. This can especially be the case when actors do their own stunts and end up hurt in the process.

Amy Adams turns into a monster when singing Karaoke according to Justine Timberlake

Adams and Timberlake aren’t just co-workers, but they’re good friends as well. So much so that Timberlake was one of the many celebrities who honored the Sharp Objects star at the American Cinematheque Award gala. During the ceremony, Timberlake revealed to the audience that Adams becomes a different person when it comes to Karaoke night.

“Let the record show that the woman sitting right over there looking all sweet and innocent with the face of an all-American angel turns into a whole new person, a beast in fact, when she gets anywhere near a karaoke machine,” Timberlake revealed according to the Hollywood Reporter. “She pretty much bullied me into singing ‘A Whole New World’ from Disney’s Aladdin with her.”

Adams later shot back Timberlake’s claims.

“Justin acts like I bullied him, but he brought the Bell Biv Devoe,” Adams said. “He sang ‘That Girl Is Poison.’ That’s on him. I didn’t bully him into that.”
