Andy Cohen Means No Disrespect, but Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Isn’t Right for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’
Andy Cohen and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi are not enemies, despite what you may have heard about him not wanting her for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Cohen explains why he hasn’t asked “Snooki” to become part of the franchise and clears the air about the alleged feud between him and the Jersey Shore star.
‘Snooki’ called Andy Cohen out before regarding ‘RHONJ’
Earlier in 2022, Nicole was a guest on Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino. During their conversation, she addressed Cohen’s refusal to discuss her joining the cast of RHONJ.
“I always had a good time with him, and we would go on his show and stuff like that,” the Jersey Shore star said. “Ever since people bring up me being on the Housewives, he’s just like, ‘Not a chance! Not happening!'”
Melissa Gorga, known for her rocky relationship with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, backed Nicole’s claims up on her podcast On Display. “He’s just like, ‘Don’t even say it'” Gorga said of Cohen. “Whenever I would go to him and be like ‘Hello! She’s married now, she has three kids, she lives around the block. She’s great for this, I think,’ and he just looks at me like ‘No.’…He is just not having it.”
Andy Cohen explains his ‘fake fight’ with ‘Snooki’
Nicole’s best friend Joey Camasta was a guest on Watch What Happens Live in June 2022. During his appearance, Cohen cleared the air about his relationship with the reality TV star.
“I am in a fake fight with ‘Snooki,'” Cohen told Camasta. He added:”I love ‘Snooki’, OK? I feel like people keep trying to poke her and prod her into something.”

According to Cohen, people “poke and prod” because they want him to put her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. “My only thing is she is so identifiable with Jersey Shore and MTV,” Cohen explained to Camasta. “She builds MTV reality shows, so in my mind I thought it’s like putting a Kardashian on another show that has nothing to do with them.”
Cohen concluded: “That was my only thing. It was nothing personal.”
‘Snooki’ has her own reasons for not wanting to do ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’
As Camasta explained on WWHL and Nicole has expressed before, she has no desire to join The Real Housewives of New Jersey. “I’m… terrified because some of those girls … they get into it,” Nicole explained to Page Six.
“Even though I’m on a reality show, I hate drama. I like positivity and I like just having a good time and going home. I just feel like that would be wild.”

Nicole also told Pellegrino the “drama and legal s***” aren’t her thing. “I’m just here to have wine and go home,” she added. “So, the show’s not for me, but [Andy’s] so aggressive about it. He’s just like, ‘No! Never!’ I’m like, ‘All right, calm down.'”
Nicole continues to film for MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. The show returns with new episodes on June 23.
