Angelina Jolie recently went through a tough divorce

Jolie and Pitt filed for divorce in 2016 after about 10 years together. Afterwards, the couple had a tough time agreeing on how to split custody.

Pitt has allegedly been pursuing 50/50 joint custody with Jolie. However, in March 2021, Jolie had reportedly filed court documents accusing Pitt of domestic violence.

News reports alleged that Pitt and his oldest son, Maddox, got into a physical altercation in 2016 while the family were on a private plane. TMZ reported that Pitt was intoxicated at the time. Pitt was later cleared of abuse by The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services.

In any case, according to Us Weekly a few months ago, Jolie is now putting forth claims that she can provide proof of alleged domestic violence committed by Pitt.

Jolie and Pitt don’t seem to be close to finalizing their custody agreement. Some legal experts believe this battle could drag on until their youngest kids are 18 years old.

Angelina Jolie talks about high dating standards

In a new interview with E!’s Daily Pop, Jolie touched on the topic of her single life. More specifically, the actor shared that she has high standards for potential partners now.

When host Justin Sylvester talked about having a list of no’s when dating, Jolie agreed, saying, “I probably have a very long list. I’ve been alone for a long time now.”

It’s not clear if Jolie makes dating a priority or not, but she has made it clear that motherhood is a big part of her life.

Jolie has a blended family of adopted and biological children. She adopted Maddox (born 2001) from Cambodia, Pax (born 2003) from Vietnam, and Zahara (born 2005) from Ethiopia.

Jolie and Pitt’s biological kids are Shiloh (born 2006) and twins Knox and Vivienne (born 2008).

Jolie’s oldest kid is almost 20, while her youngest ones are almost teenagers. As such, the actor is adapting to life as a parent to older children.

“I have six very capable children,” she said on Daily Pop. ”Of course you wake up and you just feel like, ‘I’ve got to make sure they’re OK. I’ve got to make sure they’re mentally OK,’ but honestly I think a few years ago it switched and they’re thinking, ‘I’ve got to make sure mom’s OK.’”

Jolie added, “We’re such a team so I am very, very lucky.”

In an interview with Vogue earlier this year, Jolie also shared the joy of being a mother to teenagers.

“I was best friends with my mom,” she said. “I loved having babies, but I love sitting up at night and talking to my kids. I like the teenage years. I like the older years. I love hanging out with them.”
