Since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Antonio Brown has fit smoothly into the fold. Brown has quickly built on his chemistry with star quarterback Tom Brady, helping push the Buccaneers to their first playoff berth in over a decade. With all that in mind, Brown made an Instagram post that perfectly displays his relationship with Brady.

Antonio Brown gets his opportunity with the Buccaneers

Following a hiatus from the NFL that lasted over a year, Antonio Brown got his chance to return to the league.

The Buccaneers took a flyer on him with a one-year contract for the rest of the 2020 season after serving his eight-game suspension. Since joining the franchise, Brown has largely avoided making any noise on social media or off-the-field.

Instead, the 32-year-old has progressively developed into a central piece to the Buccaneers’ passing game. In seven games played, Brown has tallied 34 catches on 47 targets for 345 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He hasn’t topped 100 receiving yards in a single contest but has recorded north of 50 receiving yards three times while making a touchdown reception in each of the last two games.

Brown’s presence has added another much-needed stable piece to the offensive puzzle this season. His contributions have played a crucial part in the Buccaneers securing a playoff spot. With all that in mind, Brown took to social media to keenly touch on what Tom Brady’s relationship means to him.

Antonio Brown’s 1-word Instagram post embodies his bond with Tom Brady

Before the Buccaneers expressed any interest in signing Antonio Brown, there wasn’t any traction in that regard.

The entire process was fueled by star quarterback Tom Brady trying to team up with Brown again following their brief stint together last season with the New England Patriots. Over the last several weeks, Brown has played the part that the Buccaneers needed from him.

He has taken to Instagram to post a simple one-word message of “grateful” with a picture of him and Brady. Brown wouldn’t be playing for the Buccaneers if it wasn’t for the 43-year-old leading the internal charge to get him there.

Yes, there were rumors of the Seattle Seahawks expressing significant interest in him, but there was no guarantee that he joined them. Brown is in a promising situation where it could see him secure his home there well past the 2020 season.

In many ways, Brady bent over backward to get Brown to the franchise, including having him stay at his home in Tampa Bay. There is strong mutual respect between the two that has helped potentially stabilize the star wide receiver’s long-term NFL future.
