Are Gigi Goode and Crystal Methyd Dating? They Wouldn’t Be the First ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Stars to Do so
We have potentially good news for RuPaul’s Drag Race fans who love to see queens on the show in romantic relationships! However, don’t get too excited, because a rumor going around on social media that Gigi Goode and Crystal Methyd may be in a relationship may need some further investigating.
The queens play into dating rumors on social media
The rumors about the two potentially dating are a result of the two joking around on social media about being together.
Goode stated in an Instagram live session that she and Methyd could be in a “throuple” with Harry Styles because she and Methyd may be in a relationship.
However, Methyd also went live a few days later with Nicky Doll and talked about living with her boyfriend.
It seems to be an inside joke that Goode and Methyd have between themselves about dating, making Instagram posts and tweets about being in a relationship. In statements to YouTube channel JakeyonceTV, the two continued to remain coy about the matter.
“Right now we’d like to keep our private life private. I can’t put into words how I feel about Ms. Goode. Just know we are soulmates,” Methyd told the channel. Goode said, “Crystal is my 🌎🌎🌎.”
Despite the rumors, many fans on social media have wanted the trolling to stop, noting that Methyd actually does have a boyfriend back home.
One fan tweeted, “did u guys… actually think… crystal and gigi were dating… i thought we all knew it was a joke.”
“People need to stop with that gigi/crystal love relationship… it’s getting creepy and if you don’t understand they’re both laughing about it, then i’m sorry for you,” someone else said.
Other queens have been in relationships
While it seems like Goode and Methyd are just having fun with fans by playing into the rumors, there have been several couples that have dated while they were on the show and off.
Though they weren’t on the show at the same time, Season 4 winner, Sharon Needles was in a longterm relationship with Alaska, who was on season 5 and the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 2.
Another RuPaul’s Drag Race relationship that played out partly on-screen was that between season 11 queens Brooke Lynn Heights and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo aka Miss Vanjie.
