Ariana Grande has officially said, “thank u, next” to the single life. The popular singer is officially a married woman, having tied the knot over the weekend. After a short five-month engagement, Grande married her now-husband, Dalton Gomez. But who is Gomez and how did his romance with the Positions artist begin?

Ariana Grande is a married woman

Unlike some of her past relationships, Grande has been relatively tight-lipped about her relationship with Gomez. The pair haven’t been together long, in fact, they dated less than a year and a half before getting married. According to PEOPLE, the couple began courting back in January of 2020. However, they spent quite a lot of time together in 2020 thanks to the lockdown caused by the pandemic. Still, despite them getting serious pretty quickly, they kept their relationship fairly quiet.

Who is Grande’s husband, Dalton Gomez?

Though Gomez’s presence on Grande’s social media profile is pretty minimal, dedicated Arianators (fans of Grande) easily found out some basic info about him. Gomez is a 25-year-old, Los Angeles real estate agent, currently working for the Aaron Kirman Group. As Gomez’s specialty is selling luxury homes, he makes a pretty penny on commission and apparently has an individual net worth of $25 million.

Grande announced her engagement to Gomez less than a year after they began dating. “Forever n then some,” she captioned a series of photos on Instagram, including one of her unique engagement ring, back in 2020. Most fans wished the happy couple well on the beginning of their forever. However, some critics felt that the engagement would be short-lived. As the “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” singer has been engaged previously (in a notoriously high-profile relationship with comedian, Pete Davidson) many didn’t think she’d actually end up married to Gomez.

The couple had a small, intimate, wedding at their home in Montecito

But it seems as if Grande has proven the critics wrong. One of the singer’s reps has officially confirmed that the pair and now legally husband and wife. “They got married,” a rep shared in an exclusive statement with PEOPLE. “It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.”

Will Grande share photos from her wedding?

The ceremony, which occurred at the couple’s home in Montecito, California, has thus far remained extremely private, with neither Gomez nor Grande sharing pictures of the intimate affair. Of course, they aren’t the only couple to do an intimate wedding. Fans may recall that Justin Beiber and Hailey Beiber got married prior to having another big bash for a large group of people. Only time will tell what route Grande chooses to take. But we’re sure Grande’s fans are itching to see the dress from the big day and are waiting anxiously for her to share more details. For now, we imagine the Grammy-winner is experiencing some newlywed bliss.
