Peter Weber proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss, then broke up with her on The Bachelor. It seemed like he might reunite with runner-up, Madison Prewett but that didn’t work out either.

Many fans compared the finale to Luyendyk Jr.’s because he proposed to Becca Kufrin, then dumped her to get with runner-up, Lauren Burnham. They are now married and have a child.

They shared their reaction to his finale on their YouTube channel. “I found it a little odd that: A. Chris Harrison flew there to talk to Madison and not Peter. So it felt like produced more than ours,” he said. “I was like ‘No, this is happening. I’m going to go see [Lauren.] I’m talking to her and this is the way I want to go. She’s the person for me.'”

The couple returned to their channel to answer questions about the show. They talked about the strict rules you have to follow to be a contestant or star.

They said contestants aren’t allowed to leave their rooms

The couple answered fan questions together in a video called “Secrets of The Bachelor.” There was a theme when it came to their answers about what contestants are and aren’t allowed to do while filming.

One of the questions was if the contestants can leave the hotel if they don’t have a date that day on the international trips. “You can’t,” answered Luyendyk Jr. “You actually don’t leave your hotel unless you’re on a date.”

Lauren said there is an exception to this rule. “Until the very end when there’s not that many girls left,” she added. He agreed and said you get a designated producer when there are four women left and then you get more freedom.

He said there are multiple reasons why contestants can’t leave. “No one has cellphones, if someone got lost or they got hurt outside of filming it would be really a big liability for the show. So they really keep everyone together that’s in the house,” said the former star. He said the bachelor also doesn’t get to go out either so the producers have total control.

He joked isolation is a lot like being on the show

Another question the couple received is what did the women do in the house together? “We threw nail parties,” Lauren said. She said there wasn’t a lot of talk about Luyendyk Jr. in their off time. Instead they would keep busy by putting on hair or face masks.

Many people are staying inside right now to avoid the further spread of coronavirus. Lauren compared isolation to being on The Bachelor. She they would do “Just like anything you would do to keep yourself busy when you’re locked in your house. Which is kind of familiar for all of us right now.”

Luyendrk Jr. added, “Yeah, you’re basically on The Bachelor right now.” However, he did mention that you have even less things to entertain yourself on the show given you’re away from technology.
