Benson has been acting since she was a child. She appeared in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, and in films such as 13 Going on 30 and Bring It On: In It to Win It. However, it wasn’t until she was cast as Hanna Marin in Pretty Little Liars that she became a notable presence in Hollywood.
Hanna is among the eponymous young women, who are stalked by a few different people who call themselves “A” throughout the series. While the primary focus was on the show’s mystery, there was also quite a bit of romance going on. Hanna’s primary love interest was Caleb (Tyler Blackburn).

Hanna and Caleb (shipper name Haleb) were one of the most beloved couples in Pretty Little Liars. In addition to wanting their characters together, fans began to see that Benson and Blackburn were close in real life, as evidenced by their social media posts. So did they really date?
Nope. “We never officially dated,” Blackburn told Playboy earlier this year. “In navigating our relationship—as co-workers but also as friends—sometimes the lines blurred a little. We had periods when we felt more for each other, but ultimately we’re good buds,” he continued.

What about her other co-stars? There was no shortage of good-looking people in Pretty Little Liars, after all. But despite being friends with her male and female co-stars, it appears as though Benson kept things strictly professional on set.
In a recent BuzzFeed interview, Benson spoke about her “first times,” including the first crazy rumor she heard about herself. “It was a rumored that I dated every guy on PLL, which I dated none of them. So that was a fun one,” she joked.

Like many these days, Benson has never felt inclined to expressly state her sexual orientation one way or the other. However, those tabloids may have been digging in the wrong place, assuming that she would be dating one of her male co-stars.
Why? Because Benson has been dating model/actress Cara Delevingne for over a year now. The two, who worked together for the indie film Her Smell, kept quiet on the details, but have been rumored to be a couple for months now. In June 2019, they confirmed their status on social media, in celebration of Pride Month. It’s now rumored that they’re married.
Her first memory from set
Benson has been done with filming for Pretty Little Liars for years. But clearly, it was an important part of her career, and still is to this day. She recalls her first memory from shooting to BuzzFeed:
“I think when we were filming the pilot. We were filming in Vancouver in Canada. It was Thanksgiving in America and obviously, they don’t [celebrate] that there. But we had the biggest Thanksgiving dinner at this hotel. And it was my first night meeting all the girls and the producers and director, and it was a very nice bonding experience,” she said.
