Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Evans is a fan-favorite actor. He’s also beloved by his castmates on the popular blockbuster films, such as 2019’s record-breaking hit Avengers: Endgame. So which of these celebrities has a playful relationship with him on Twitter?

Despite having a fruitful career in Hollywood ahead of him, Evans will forever be known as Steve Rogers in the MCU. He began portraying the character (his second go at a Marvel superhero) in 2011’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The actor has since reprised the role several times.

Evans’ (alleged) last film as the patriotic hero was Endgame. In the movie, he works with the other Avengers to reverse the effects of Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War. After succeeding, he returns the Infinity Stones to their rightful places in history, before retiring and passing on his trademark shield.

He is very active on Twitter

Unlike his MCU character, Evans doesn’t struggle with technology. His “superpower,” according to some of his fans, is his active social media presence. Though he only joined Instagram in 2020, the actor has spent the last several years voicing his opinions on Twitter.

In addition to politics, which is a popular topic, Evans engages with his fans in other ways. He often shares photos of his dog, Dodger. And unlike many celebrities, he’s aware of all the memes out there, including those that involve him and the rest of the MCU.

Yvette Nicole Brown’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ scene with Evans

Actor Yvette Nicole had a small role in Endgame. She played Phyllis Jenkins, a SHIELD employee who Steve and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) encounter when they travel to the facility in 1970. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly in July 2020, Brown spoke about her experience.

“I am so honored to be in that space with those two literal superheroes,” she said. “In real life and as human beings, they are both lovely.” She specifically called out Evans, saying, “I adore him. It’s my Twitter boyfriend, by the way. I don’t know if you guys know [that].”

Brown and Evans’ Twitter interactions

As Brown is also social media savvy, she and Evans have continued the bond they formed on the Endgame set on Twitter. In June 2020, she shared an edited Endgame video with him, writing, “Dear Twitter BF @ChrisEvans, folks wanna make sure you, in particular, have seen this!”

Fans of the two actors have even weighed in on their friendship, which Brown has made sure to establish. When a Twitter user called Evans her “internet boyfriend,” Brown corrected her, writing, “Not the whole internet, just twitter. Right @ChrisEvans?” He replied with two hearts.

How did Brown get the part?

Brown is perhaps best known for her starring role in the comedy series Community, where she played Shirley Bennett. Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo were executive producers and directors on the show. Over their time in the MCU, they’ve employed multiple actors from the series.

“This came to me because of the great Russo brothers,” Brown said of the opportunity.” They give cameos to lots of Community actors, and this was my shot. And it happened to be in Endgame.” She said she was on set for about two days. “I’m in one of the biggest movies, if not the biggest movie of all time. It’s ridiculous.”
