Ayesha Curry Lost 35 Pounds Doing This Workout

Steph Curry‘s wife, Ayesha Curry, recently made headlines for showing off her new figure after dropping 35 pounds. She received some backlash over the photos but her followers were interested in how she lost the weight and asked for her secret. Well, Ayesha decided to give her fans a little insight into what’s she’s been doing.

Ayesha’s bikini pics caused controversy

On May 23, the cookbook author posted two photos of herself in a tiny bikini. The pics were taken by her basketball star hubby with the caption, “Took me long enough.”

While many of Ayesha’s followers praised her with comments that she looked “amazing,” others called her out for a previous remark she made about not showing off her body.

Several commenters pointed to a tweet from 2015 when she wrote, “Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters.”

How Ayesha dropped the extra weight

Ayesha didn’t respond to the backlash but did share a bit about how she got into shape in her Instagram Stories.

I’m down 35 pounds, very happy to be. I spent my entire 20’s having babies, nursing babies, now it’s my turn to nurse myself. Mommies need love too!!!! Been in the gym since January. Heavy HIT, hella cardio, floor work. And changed my entire diet (except for Sunday’s…you know what it is).”

The celebrity cook detailed that workout routine in a previous post as she exercised with her husband. For anyone who’s looking to drop a few pounds this is what Mrs. Curry has been doing.

“Cool 6.5 mile Burna Boy ride w @tune2tunde on the @onepeloton,” she captioned one video clip. In another, Steph filmed her doing plenty of squats with an 8-pound waist belt.

In addition to her workouts, Ayesha’s also been posting plenty of pictures of her family over the last few months and what they’ve been up to during quarantine.

The Family Food Fight star and Steph have three children together. Their oldest daughter, Riley, became an internet sensation in 2015 during her dad’s postseason press conferences. The couple welcomed another daughter, Ryan, on ‎July 10 2015 followed by their son, Canon Jack, who was born on July 2, 2018.

In March, Ayesha revealed that she was celebrating her 31st birthday at home just the way she preferred with her kiddos.

“So grateful for another year!!!! Spent my bday just the way I wanted to,” she wrote. “In the house surrounded by my babies and hubs, watching This Is Us and West World. Thank you to all of my beautiful family and friends that showed me SO MUCH love today from afar. 31, my virtuous woman year. Let’s go!”
