Once in a while, Bachelor In Paradise brings back contestants from earlier seasons — usually for the drama; sometimes for love. For Season 8, the show is reportedly reintroducing franchise alum, Lace Morris.

She hasn’t been on screen for a while but many viewers find her hard to forget. Here’s a quick refresher on Morris’s Bachelor Nation journey.

Lace Morris first appeared on Ben Higgins’ season of ‘The Bachelor’

In 2016, Morris made her reality TV debut on season 20 of The Bachelor, which starred Indiana native Ben Higgins. She was one of the most persistent contestants of the season with viewers often groaning at her observations and advances. But despite her efforts, Morris didn’t make a connection with Ben and quit by week 3.

The Denver native returned to the franchise on Season 3 of Bachelor In Paradise. She quickly hit it off with Bachelorette Season 12 contestant Grant Kemp. After a speedy road to “I love you” and a romantic proposal in the finale, Morris and Kemp left Bachelor In Paradise engaged.

Soon after their season of Bachelor In Paradise aired, Lace and Grant called it quits. The couple revealed that they just weren’t in the same place and felt better off being friends.

“It really was mutual,” Lace told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “We both have our issues we need to work on, and we can’t really give each other what we need at this time. It’s just not the right timing. We have so much love for each other, and it’s weird because the chemistry is there, and I’m thinking, ‘Why can’t we make this work?’ But it’s just not possible right now.”

In explaining how their relationship fell apart, Lace added, “For a month, we were kind of starting to bicker, and it was a thing of, something’s got to give. It was a cycle we couldn’t break…I think he’s an amazing man. I’m super sad that it ended, but I know it’s for the best right now.”

It looks like Lace is taking another chance at love in paradise. Reality Steve recently shared a photo of Lace getting out of a taxi in what appears to be Mexico, suggesting the 32-year-old may return for Bachelor In Paradise Season 8. If Lace appears, she’ll likely join contestants from Michelle Young, Rachel Recchia, and Gabby Windey’s seasons of The Bachelorette

At ABC’s upfront event, the network’s head of entertainment Craig Erwich teased an exciting line-up. “When I think of some of the people they have in mind to come back for Bachelor in Paradise, I think it’s going to continue to be a very watched and very discussed block of programming on Mondays and Tuesdays,” Erwich said as reported by US Weekly

ABC also revealed that Bachelor alum Jesse Palmer would be the sole host this time around, as opposed to the rotating hosts — David Spade, Lance Bass, and Lil Jon — featured last season. Bachelor In Paradise premieres on July 11, 2022, on ABC.
