According to Marylynn’s Bachelor profile on ABC’s website, James’ contestant is an event coordinator from Studio City, California. That said, Marylynn aspires to “start several companies focused around promoting environmental welfare and healthy lifestyle choices.” The contestant also hopes her partner shares her dream of making the world a better place.

Meanwhile, the cast bio focuses on Marylynn’s perfect person. But does James fit the bill? The 28-year-old is looking for someone who checks all the boxes emotionally, mentally, and physically.

“Marylynn needs a man who is ready to commit and not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeves,” the profile reads. “She wants a stable man who will love her unconditionally, someone who is loyal to the core and who would be a rock for her when life throws the inevitable curveball their way. In five years, Marylynn hopes to be married with two or more rescue dogs, and living a productive, inspirational, healthy life with the support of her man by her side.”

Before The Bachelor Season 25 premiere, Harrison revealed Marylynn would be involved with some drama early on.

“[Marylynn] accidentally finds herself, early on, in one of the big feuds,” Harrison said in December 2020. “Some unexpected roommate drama. That’s all I’m gonna say. But how does it end? You’ll find out.”

Then in the second episode of The Bachelor, “Queen” Victoria Larson accused her roommate, Marylynn, of being “manipulative” and “toxic.” Victoria also claimed she slept on the couch because of Marylynn. Meanwhile, Victoria brought up her concerns to James and the other cast members. Most of the contestants were confused. James also confronted Marlynn, and she denied the allegations.

Later, Marylynn apologized to Victoria for hurting her and acknowledged her roommate’s feelings. However, Victoria saw this as an admission of guilt and did not move past the situation, saying they were like “oil and vinegar.”

On Jan. 12, Marylynn addressed the situation on her Instagram Story.

“After watching last night’s episode, I just wanted to hop on here and say let’s be kind today and let’s cut some people some slack,” Marylynn said. “You know, the environment of the show is very stressful, and people have real emotions and feelings when they’re put in that environment.”

She later added, “As Victoria had suggested, she and I are very different. We just had different perspectives of the experience, and when you put two different personalities like that … there’s bound to be an altercation. It happened organically and naturally. I don’t think that there’s really a side to it, I don’t think that there’s anybody that’s right or wrong. I just want to make sure that people know that I believe she’s justified in feeling what she did. And again, I’m just promoting love on this platform.”

In The Bachelor Season 25 Episode 3, James sent Marylynn home during the rose ceremony. But, it seems some footage of the contestant was missing. When Harrison introduced the cast in December 2020, he opened up about the contestant’s upcoming arc beyond the drama. And according to the host, Bachelor Nation fans would see more from Marylynn. However, the storyline never unfolded on the show.

“Definitely no stranger to tears,” Harrison said of Marylynn. “One of the more emotional women we’ve had this season, maybe one of the most emotional we’ve ever had, ever. [Ashley Iaconetti], I mean, right up there.”

He continued, “[Marylynn] overcame a really challenging childhood, truly a story unlike we’ve ever heard before, really moving, very inspiring. I can’t wait for Bachelor Nation to hear that.”

The Bachelor Season 25 airs Monday nights on ABC.
