Although Below Deck Mediterranean is winding down, viewers will be treated to a two-part reunion that includes a “shocking confession.”

Bravo is being tight-lipped about the confession but hinted about more drama to come. The confession comes when reunion host Andy Cohen asks chief stew, Hannah Ferrier, about the circumstances surrounding her departure.

“While Hannah could not be happier with her baby girl on the way, she tries to clear the air on claims that she ‘checked out’ this season and is quick to defend herself when the group questions her absence from a crew day off,” Bravo shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “When Andy addresses Hannah’s dismissal and the challenges with maritime law, a startling confession from another crew member leaves the group shocked.”

The cast will discuss the crew shakeups

Below Deck Med Season 5 featured some of the most cast departures in the history of the show. The only season to match this season was Below Deck Season 3. Bravo shared that Captain Sandy Yawn and the crew immediately discuss second stew Lara Flumiani’s swift departure.

Flumiani shocked many viewers with her insubordinate stance against Ferrier. She appeared to be positioned to be ready for trouble but then she suddenly quit after the first charter. Christine “Bugsy” Drake came in and replaced Flumiani.

The crew also discusses the circumstances surrounding chef Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran and Ferrier’s dismissals. Lorran reflected on the Vegas night mess and Yawn’s presence in the galley.

Crew boatmances will be revisited

The season featured a good amount of partnering off. Jessica More and Rob Westergaard hooked up almost immediately early in the season. Bosun Malia White’s boyfriend Tom Checketts ended up replacing Lorran after he left. Plus, Drake and deckhand Alex Radcliffe had a playful romance during the last few weeks of the season.

More and Westergaard started off hot and steamy but ended up fighting and ultimately parted ways. Westergaard’s friendship with second stew Aesha Scott frustrated More and she viewed the two as being flirtatious. However, “Aesha once again clears the air on her friendship with Rob, but when an old exchange between the two is exposed, the group is left shocked to its core,” Bravo reveals.

White and Checketts were still together when they filmed the reunion. However, they’ve since broken up, which White confirmed on her last appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

2 crew members won’t be at the reunion

Bravo confirmed that Flumiani and deckhand Pete Hunziker did not attend the reunion. Flumiani only appeared for a few episodes and had a contentious relationship with nearly every cast member.

She bonded with Hunziker before she left, but Hunziker too was not invited. He was fired at the beginning of season when he shared a racist and misogynist meme on Instagram. Bravo and production company 51 Minds removed him from the title sequence and minimized his presence for the remaining episodes.
