Hannah Ferrier talks about what annoyed her after getting fired by Captain Sandy

Below Deck Mediterranean viewers have been vocal about Ferrier’s firing as they deem it not to be fair. The stewardess was an OG cast member on a show where turnover is normal. Fans were invested in Ferrier and were shocked when Captain Sandy ousted her after Malia White ratted her out for having a vape pen in her belongings. Ferrier did not disclose this to the captain and was let go for violating the strict laws.

After getting cut from the crew, Ferrier said she was more annoyed with what happened after.

“The other thing that really annoyed me with the whole firing was that obviously when you’ve been on a TV show for that long, I went outside on the docks to call my lawyer and to call my agent,” Ferrier said during an interview on the Everyone Is Terrible podcast. “And [Sandy] came out and then kept going at me. And I’m like, lady you’ve just fired me for drugs, for anti-anxiety medication basically on camera. You know what you are doing as well, like, you’ve done it a few seasons.”

Ferrier recounted that she was “worried about the backlash of being made to look like a drug addict.” The former Bravo star maintains that it was medication for her anxiety. During the interview, Ferrier said she would never work with Captain Sandy again.

Malia White recounts her bad experience with Captain Sandy

Despite fans linking White and Captain Sandy together after Ferrier’s axing, they both had a bad experience. Captain Sandy made a Cameo video that went viral where she puts into question White’s sexuality and said she was “secretly gay.”

“Malia, I think, secretly gay, to be honest. That’s my opinion. Everybody in production thinks that,” Sandy said.

Sandy would later apologize for what she said about White explaining, “I was wrong for making that comment, that clip was taken out of context, it was sliced to make it into something it was not. My apologies to Malia!”

Looking back at the time all of this mess occurred, White said it happened right before they would start shooting Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5.

“To be fair, that comment was made the night before we started filming. So I kind of had to just get on the boat and put a big smile on,” the Bravo star told Us Weekly. “I think with Captain Sandy, the thing that I know to be true is she never means harm. She never means disrespect or she never means for it to be hurtful.”

White confirmed that Captain Sandy ended up apologizing and the two were able to move on.
