Sharing a small bunk can create a tense situation, which may be bubbling under the surface between chef Adam Glick and deckhand Parker McCown from Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

McCown seemed happy to be bunkmates with Glick when they first met. He exclaimed they were going to “bro out” in their cabin and have fun. Glick joked about coming to bed smelling of garlic, to which McCown responded with, “Bring it!”

McCown told Showbiz Cheat Sheet Glick always came to bed “smelling like any good food he made.” Plus, Glick stepped it up when it came to cooking for the crew this season too. He often forgot to make the crew meals on Below Deck Mediterranean citing that he was too busy concentrating on the guests’ meals.

But McCown reports that Glick kept them well fed. “I definitely ate Adam’s food and loved every bit of it.” McCown seemed to be pretty happy about his relationship with Glick when he spoke to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. But did the bunkmates hit a speed bump along the way?

He wasn’t big on making his bed

An upcoming preview shows Glick being a little annoyed with how McCown would forget to make his bed. “Parker’s not made his bad once,” Glick is heard telling chief stew, Jenna MacGillivray while McCown stands by. “I haven’t made my bed in how long?” McCown shoots back.

“He can be a man and talk to me to my face,” McCown says in a confessional. Later it’s clear the passive-aggressive comment Glick made to MacGillivray got under McCown’s skin. He’s seen talking about the remark with first mate Paget Berry.

“He’s complaining about my bed being made, I don’t give a f**k,” he exclaims to Berry.

Glick also had this complaint about McCown too

Earlier this season, Glick had to remind McCown to be a little quieter when he heads to pre-dawn anchor watch. Cameras captured McCown’s alarm sounding in the wee hours so he could relieve Ciara Duggan from overnight anchor watch.

McCown sleeps on the top bunk and leaps from his bunk, hitting the floor with a thud. He also stumbles around the cabin as he forcefully opens and closes doors. Glick is trying to sleep and it is clear the noise is waking him up.

He later gently reminds McCown that unlike other crew members, he cannot nap if he’s dragging the next day. Of course, McCown seems remorseful and apologizes for waking up Glick.

Generally, McCown said he vibed with the entire crew. “I’d say I pretty much get along with everybody on the boat,” McCown told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “You know. I appreciate everybody and why they were there and what we were doing. And, you know, of course, people clash at times. But again, I think it’s only natural. And no, I don’t think there was ever any significant people I didn’t like or I didn’t get along with.” If he had to pick favorites? He said he shared a close bond with stews Madison Stalker and Georgia Grobler. That bond was apparent when he appeared alongside Grobler on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Stalker was also in the audience.
