This is obviously Beyoncé’s world and we’re just living in it. For over 20 years, the Lemonade singer has dazzled us with her stunning vocals, sultry moves, and sensational lyrics. She’s also ventured into Hollywood with roles in films like Dream Girls and Cadillac Records.

More recently, the Homecoming icon has been focused on music and bringing her signature style to her fans through her collaboration with Adidas and her brand, Ivy Park.

When the Black Is King star debuted her Ivy Park x Adidas line earlier this year it was a massive success. However, her latest collab with the athletic brand is getting a lot of hate.

Beyoncé has been working with Adidas for over a year

Beyoncé first launched Ivy Park back in 2016. At the time she launched it along with TOPSHOP. However, after TOPSHOP founder Sir Philip Green was accused of sexual harassment and racial abuse, Beyoncé brought Green out, becoming the sole owner of the label.

This enabled her first major collaboration with Adidas in April 2019. At the time Beyoncé release a statement saying,

This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth, and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.

Beyoncé’s style and fashion label has come under fire before

Most fans and celebrties were trilled when Beyoncé’s Ivy Park x Adidas collection launched earlier this year. Beyoncé told Elle,

I think it’s important to have great basics that you can wear again and again. Versatility is a big part of the IVY PARK line and what inspires me. You can create your own style by experimenting and taking chances and continually reinventing your look with all of these pieces. It incorporates my personal style and expands that to include something for everyone.

However, some fans were disappointed by the lack of size inclusivity. Fans were devastated that the line only carried “straight sizes” leaving millions of other fans unable to purchase or wear any of the items from the collection. We hope that the Destiny’s Child alum takes note of this misstep for her next collection.

This is why fans hate Beyoncé’s latest collab

Now, fans are also horrified with Beyoncé’s latest collab with Adidas. On Sept. 8, Adidas launched the Superstar Platform with Beyoncé. The classic shoe still has its black stripes and a rubber shell toe. However, it’s been elevated in the middle of the shoe to create a platform. The $200 shoe also has a pointy end.

A Beyoncé’s stan account used a tweet from the City Girls’ Yung Miami to express their apprehension about the shoe saying, “Maybe it gotta grow on y’all idk.” Other fans responded to Addidas tweet about the shoe saying, “Adidas be honest all of you sat down and agreed that this shoe was cute?”

We love Beyoncé, we truly do, but we’re probably going to wait for the next Ivy Park collection.
