We’ve seen her rise to fame with the iconic R&B girl group, Destiny’s Child before becoming a global superstar in her own right. From her legendary vocals to her roles in films like Cadillac Records and The Lion King, Beyoncé has proven that there is nothing she can’t do.

Coming off the success of her history-making performance at 2018’s Coachella which was captured for the Netflix documentary, Homecoming, and stepping into the updated version of The Lion King, it appears that Beyoncé is ready to embark on a new phase of her career.

Aside from her activism regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, Beyoncé has remained silent about her future projects as of late. Now, fans are convinced that we’re going to see her in Disney’s Black Panther 2 when it premieres.

Beyoncé is very deliberate about her career choices

At this stage in her career, there is nothing the Lemonade songstress does by accident. In 2010, she took over her own career and formed her company Parkwood Entertainment Group. All of Beyoncé endeavors including her music, movies, videos, fashion brands, and charities run through Parkwood.

For Beyoncé, her career has become about trusting her own vision and instincts without any outside influences. “When I decided to manage myself it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company,” she explained to Billboard in 2013. “I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success—you do it yourself.”

Inside Beyoncé’s $100 million Disney deal

Though she’s been in quarantine like the rest of us, Beyoncé has still been striking major deals behind the scenes. After lending her voice to Nala for the live-action version of The Lion King last year, the songstress is rumored to have made a major deal with Disney.

The Sun is reporting that she is in talks to sign a $100 million deal where she will work on three different projects. “Beyoncé has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand,” a source told The Sun. “As part of the deal, they are also trying to get her team to agree to have Beyoncé voicing some of the new documentaries coming to Disney Plus. After the success of having Meghan Markle voicing the film Elephant on the platform, they have projects coming up which align perfectly with Beyoncé’s brand. The negotiations are still ongoing but it’s the final details that are being thrashed out now.”

Most recently Beyoncé partnered with Disney for ABC’s Disney Family Singalong special where she sang “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio to honor frontline workers.

Fans are convinced Beyoncé will be in ‘Black Panther 2’

Black Panther 2 is currently slated for release on May 6, 2022. However, that may change due to the pandemic. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating that Beyoncé might be in talks with Disney to be involved in the film.

While we don’t expect to see the songstress suited up in the movie, she could certainly be lending her stunning vocals to the movie’s soundtrack. Kendrick Lamar did the soundtrack for the original film and it was sensational. Beyoncé produced The Gift for The Lion King which was a beautiful album.
