Beyoncé and Jay-Z are two of the most prominent people on the globe, not just in the music industry. Together, they are an untouchable power couple who have taken the reigns of their respective careers while keeping their personal and family lives as private as possible.

The duo wed in 2008 and they share three children together, a daughter, Blue Ivy and twins, Sir and Rumi. Though they haven’t talked about their marriage openly, the pair have discussed their relationship on their respective albums, Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44.

With the Ivy Park founder’s net worth of $400 million and the hip-hop mogul’s net worth of $1 billion, there is nothing outside of their reach. Though Beyoncé shares snippets of their lives on Instagram, she is careful and very protective about which aspects she does showcase. Here’s what we know about the power couple’s spending habits.

Beyoncé brought Jay-Z a $40 million jet

For his first Father’s Day in 2012, the “Formation” singer got her hubby a very lavish gift. Beyoncé brought Jay-Z a bombardier Challenger 850. According to Travel, the jet has one large bedroom, two bathrooms and is able to sleep up to seven people.

Now that the Carters are a family of five, there is more than enough room for the power couple and their children. In addition to using the aircraft for travel, Jay-Z also uses his jet to conduct business meetings. It has also inspired him to invest in a company called JetSmarter, which is like the Uber/Lyft of private jets.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé own a $88 million mansion

Though the pair lived in New York City in the early years of their marriage, around 2014, they decided to move their lives out west to be based in Los Angeles. Their ultra-lavish and private 30,000 square foot mansion has six structures and includes everything they could ever want.

The home includes a recording studio, a theater, a spa, four swimming pools, a full basketball court and separate staff quarters. They also added a lavish 15-car garage when they moved in.

In addition to their LA-based home, the dup also owns property in New York, the Bahamas, Thailand, and the Hamptons.

Inside Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s everyday expenses

It’s not cheap being Beyoncé or Jay-Z, even their every-day expenses add up to more than many of us make in just several years. According to Beyoncé’s former accountant, the legendary songstress’ monthly bills can total $300,000.

Beyoncé reportedly pays $10,000 for her publicist, $8,000 for a bodyguard, $7,500 for a chef, and $4,000 for her housekeeping staff. That doesn’t include the $50,000 in extra cash that she has on hand for self-care items, outings, childcare, and general upkeep.

The couple donates a lot to charity

Though the pair never boast about giving to charity, they are avid philanthropists. In 2018, Beyoncé donates $100,000 to four historically black colleges and universities. After Hurricane Katrina, she founded the Survivor Foundation to provide transitional housing for victims and contributed $250,000 to the project.

Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Charity Foundation has donated to the #BlackLivesMatter Movement, upwards of $4 million and the duo has also worked with activists for prison reform and unjust incarceration.
