Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been in a relationship for over a decade, with the couple announcing their marriage in 2008. There are a select few celebrities invited to this event, some confirmed by several publications.  

Here’s what we know about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s wedding guest list.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z created songs like ‘Drunk in Love’ and ‘Crazy in Love’

Both artists rose in popularity as solo performers, Beyoncé first appearing in the girl group Destiny’s Child. After working together for several songs, Beyoncé and Jay-Z revealed their relationship. 

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been romantically involved since 2002 when the artists released songs like “Deja Vu” and “Crazy in Love.” After about six years of dating, the superstars married in 2008. Since then, the Carters have become one of Hollywood’s hottest couples. 

The two collaborated on the 2018 album The Carters, with one song even featuring their daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Jay-Z also appeared on Beyoncé albums, including The Lion King: The Gift. 

Beyoncé also wrote the groundbreaking visual album Lemonade about her relationship with the producer. Outside of music, though, these performers keep their family life primarily private. That includes their actual marriage ceremony. 

Who was in attendance at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s wedding?

This event was reportedly very intimate, with the couple only inviting 40 guests. Of course, the actual guest list for the Carters’ wedding has not been made public. However, fans have a general idea of who attended this ceremony, including some family members of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. 

ABC wrote, “guests reportedly included Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father and manager Mathew Knowles, her sister Solange Knowles, former Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and friend Gwyneth Paltrow.”

People reported that Coldplay singer Chris Martin also received an invitation. Of course, no recording devices were allowed, although some videos of the special occasion were later shared with fans.

Years later, Beyoncé featured her daughter on “Brown Skin Girl” from The Lion King: The Gift. That came just months after the announcement of her twins, Sir and Rumi Carter

In 2017, the Lemonade artist announced her pregnancy with twins with a post on social media, earning over 11 million likes in the process. According to Glamour, Beyoncé’s picture holding her twins became the fourth most popular picture of the year.
