The “Hold Up” songstress has been in the public eye for the majority of her life, but from her flawless skin, it doesn’t look like she’s aged a day. From the vampy looks to golden hues, we’ve seen the Lemonade vocalist in almost every makeup look we can think of.

Though she’s flawless no matter what, even Beyoncé doesn’t “wake up like this.” Those stunning gowns and outfits that we see her wear for events and red carpets take a lot of detailed planning. Everything from her hairstyles to her jewelry and nail colors are thought about in advance. When Elle Magazine asked The Gift singer how long it takes for her to get ready for an event, she had quite the cheeky answer. “As long as I take, I better look like Halle Berry,” she said.
Beyoncé’s everyday makeup routine
Though she lives a luxe and glamourous life, not every day is a fashion show — not even for Beyoncé. “I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life,” she explained. “Making sure I am present for my kids—dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family—all while running a company can be challenging.” When she’s trying to balance it all, some days call for simple makeup looks.
In fact, when she’s trying to just get out of the house, the iconic entertainer only reaches for three things. “Moisturizer, a little concealer, and a bright lip,” she revealed.

There is one lip product that the songstress and her makeup artist Sir John always reach for, and it just costs $9. During the L’Oréal Paris launch event in 2019, Sir John told Well and Good that when he’s beating the queen’s face he always reaches for L’Oréal’s Signature Lightweight Matte Colored Ink. The makeup artist gushed that its, “best he’s ever had.”
“When I know I’m not going to see my client again, and I know there’s going to be no touch-up and they’re going to put something on and go, this is my jam,” Sir John explained. “I know when it hits the carpet, I know if she eats — I know it’s not going to dry, it’s not going to get crusty and she’s going to feel good.”
