Beyoncé Uses This Inexpensive Drugstore Find To Keep Her Skin Smooth
While it’s likely Bey is just one of those people who was born with perfect skin, it turns out that she also takes her skincare pretty seriously. In fact, the singer has a go-to skincare product she uses to keep her skin velvety smooth and guess what, it’s an inexpensive commodity that anyone can find at their local drugstore.
Beyoncé once shared her best-kept beauty secrets
Though she isn’t one who has to go to extreme lengths to look her best, Beyoncé still makes sure she takes care of her skin to maintain her youthful glow.
She does this by using several makeup and skincare products that are staples in her beauty regime.
While speaking with Elle in 2010, Bey revealed a few of her must-have beauty products. Some of which are so cheap, they can be found at your local drugstore.
When talking about her go-to hair product, Bey revealed that she uses L’Oréal Paris Elnett hairspray, which she says holds her locks in place “like nothing else.”
As for how she gives her skin that “velvety sheen,” the “Pretty Hurts” singer revealed: “I layer on bronzers for public appearances. I love L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze One Day gel, which you can just get at Walmart, and Scott Barnes Body Bling is also great.”
Bey even shared her top beauty must-have, which is a mere $7 at the drugstore. The product is Smith’s Rosebud Salve and is something Beyoncé claims she uses for everything.
“I love the Rosebud Salve in the blue can. [Ed note: It’s Smith’s!] I wear it with my lipstick,” she told Allure in 2011. “I did this trick last summer, when I was on vacation: I used it to prime my lashes before curling. It was like a natural mascara. It made the lashes hold the curl and look shiny. I use it for everything!”
The must-have drugstore product Beyoncé uses to keep her skin healthy
Though Smith’s Rosebud Salve is Beyoncé’s go-to beauty product, it turns out that there’s another drugstore find she loves using regularly.
While sitting down with Elle, the Grammy winner revealed her best-kept secret for maintaining healthy skin, which is going to sleep with Aquaphor smeared on her face.
“I go to bed looking totally greasy, it’s not all glamour all the time,” she shared.
Aquaphor is “a mix of petroleum jelly, mineral oil, glycerin, and lanolin,” that acts as an emollient to “help soften and smooth the skin and create an occlusive protective barrier on the surface to seal in moisture,” according to board-certified dermatologist and clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York University School of Medicine Shari Marchbein.
The brand makes a ton of different products ranging from lip balms to makeup removers.
While Beyoncé didn’t delve into the positive impact Aquaphor has had on her skin, it seems like falling asleep with the product on her face has been working for her.
So as you can see, even those inexpensive beauty products can help you look fresh and keep your skin glowing.
