‘Big Brother’: Kat Dunn Calls Holly Allen Out for ‘Slut Shaming’ in Her Response To Leaked Racist Group Chat Messages
A year after Big Brother 21 ended, a spoiler page leaked a conversation involving several former houseguests in which Nick Maccarone and Jack Matthews wrote racially charged messages. Several of those involved have issued apologies.
In Holly Allen’s response, she clarified her statements and referenced Kat Dunn’s relationships with those involved instead of apologizing to people who were offended. Allen’s reply offended Kat Dunn, who took to her Instagram story to call the BB21 runner-up out for “slut-shaming.”
Leaked ‘Big Brother 21’ group chat includes racist texts
In the conversation, Holly Allen asked her former housemates if they would attend a reunion at her family’s ranch where they can participate in several activities, including “horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and shooting.”
Nick Maccarone responded first and stated he would love to go but is “scared to shoot a gun.” He then called out Jack Matthews and claimed he could “come and shoot something, and it’ll be black. Watch the uproar.”
Maccarone’s ex-girlfriend Kat Dunn replied, writing, “Wow, Nick, let’s just not.” Matthews jumped into the conversation stating he would “turn the gun sideways” and then followed it up with “kill shot.” Allen later said she “meant at targets. But yeah. Totally.”
Big Brother 20 competitor Chris “Swaggy C” Williams and BB18 star Paulie Calafiore responded to the conversation on Twitter. Williams claimed he would “black out on someone” and Calafiore called the messages “a problem.”
Several ‘BB21’ former players apologized for their part in racist group chat
After the leak, Maccarone posted a lengthy apology to his Instagram Story. He claimed he “wasn’t aware of the deep systemic injustices and microaggressions toward black people” eight months ago when he made the offensive comments.
The former houseguest ended his statement by promising he doesn’t find violence against Blacks funny. Even though Tommy Bracco did not say anything in the messages, he also issued an apology for not stepping in and holding his former co-stars accountable for their words.
BB21 runner-up Holly Allen also responded to the offensive remarks in the comment section of an Instagram post.

In response to someone who called her out for “making jokes about black bears,” Allen claimed her comment “was aimed at making a certain person feel stupid for his ignorant comments.”
The BB21 runner-up insisted she “doesn’t condone it” and should have directly called him out. Allen ended her response by calling ex-friend Kat Dunn out for not saying anything when she “slept with all three guys even in question. For her to now act like she’s above it is even worse.”
Dunn screenshotted her former friend’s remark and posted it to her Instagram story, writing, “When somebody tries to combat racism with slut shaming < trash.”
Even though Allen responded to the conversation in the comment section, she has yet to issue a public apology as well as Matthews. Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
