Joe Rogan is back with more COVID-19 controversy following his recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with Bill Burr. Rogan has already faced judgment from some fans over his use of personal COVID-19 testing kits for himself and his rich and famous pals. After claiming that not wearing a mask is the way to go, Rogan faced serious heat from Bill Burr. Is Joe Rogan digging himself deeper into a misinformed hole?

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan cited incorrect information while referencing COVID-19 deaths and encouraging folks not to wear masks outside.

Rogan said, “I’m worried about them locking things down. Someone’s got to step in and stop them from doing that. You’ve got to lock down old people and sick people. Let regular people do whatever the f*ck they want. You can’t just lock people’s freedom down for something that killed a small fraction of what you thought it was going to kill.”

However, as reported by Newsweek, Rogan was way off the mark with his statement. It seems as if the podcaster hasn’t done his research. Johns Hopkins University reports that more than 116,000 people in the U.S. have died from COVID-19, and the number continues to grow.

Rogan might be interested to learn that the White House predicted 100,000 to 240,000 deaths as a result of COVID-19. This means we’ve already passed the lower expectation of 100,000 deaths, with more on the way. The UFC commentator’s claims that the virus has killed a “small fraction of what you thought it was going to kill” is flat out incorrect.

Bill Burr is notorious for calling out bad behavior when he sees it, and he didn’t let Joe Rogan slide by. In fact, Burr basically told Rogan he’s being a jerk.

Burr started out saying to Rorgan, “The whole f*cking time there’s been f*cking a**holes on my street walking around no masks, not quarantining.”

Rogan replied, “You want people to walk down the street with a mask on?”

Burr shot back, “I don’t want to start this bullsh*t. I’m not going to sit here with no medical degree, listening to you with no medical degree, with an American flag behind you, smoking a cigar, acting like we know what’s up better than the CDC. All I do is I watch the news once every two weeks. I’m like ‘Mask or no mask? Still mask? Alright, masks.’ That’s all I give a f**k about.”

Joe Rogan then went on to cite out-of-date information, claiming that the WHO says wearing a mask is only relevant when treating a COVID-19 patient. In fact, the WHO says, “The use of masks is part of a comprehensive package of the prevention and control measures that can limit the spread of certain respiratory viral diseases, including COVID-19.”

Burr then pointed out that Joe Rogan seems more hung up on “being manly” than anything else. Burr said, “I just love how wearing a mask became like this f**king soft thing that you were doing. Being courteous.”

Rogan replied, “It’s for b*tches.”

Burr asked, “Why is it for b*tches?” Rogan then faked a weak cough.

“Oh God you’re so tough with your f*cking open nose and throat. Gee Joe, and your five o’clock shadow. This is a man right here! A man doesn’t wear a mask! Why does it always become like that, it always becomes the man versus the b*tch,” pointed out Burr.
