Billie Eilish is one of the 2022 headliners at Coachella, even referencing Beyoncé’s Coachella performance in her set. This wouldn’t be the first time she performed at the music festival, though, as the “All the Good Girls Go to Hell” singer appeared at the 2019 event, even if she started her setlist 40 minutes late.

Following the success of “Ocean Eyes,” Eilish debuted her full-length album All the Good Girls Go to Hell. This included chart-topping songs “Bury a Friend” and “Bad Guy,” even catching the attention of celebrities like Justin Bieber.

Eilish appeared at 2019’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that same year. Headliners at the 2019 festival included Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande, with Eilish also listed as a big-name artist.

Billie Eilish forgot the lyrics to ‘All the Good Girls Go to Hell’ during her 2019 Coachella performance

Eilish’s 2019 Coachella performance wasn’t without its hiccups. The artist took to the stage over 30 minutes late, also forgetting the lyrics to one When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go song.

While performing “All the Good Girls Go to Hell,” this artist forgot the words to the second verse, turning to an impromptu “la da da da da” version. She shouted f*** at the audience, adding, “what the f*** are the words, though.”

This could be due to problems in Eilish’s personal life, as noted by Eilish in her V Magazine cover shoot.

‘I really resent the things that were surrounding me during that period of time. I had that ruined for me by a person, but that’s ok,’ she said according to Metro

As detailed in Eilish’s The World’s A Little Blurry documentary, the artist asked her partner to see her after the performance, to which he replied, “I’ll try.” She subsequently threw her phone on the ground.

In June 2019, the artist split from her boyfriend, reflecting on the experience with her 2021 release Happier Than Ever. In 2022, this artist returned to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, this time as a headlining artist.
