Billie Eilish is one of the most successful young artists of our time, but she still lives modestly. While most would think the young star lives in a lavish mansion somewhere, that’s not the case.

Believe it or not, the Grammy-winning singer still lives at home with her parents.

Even though Eilish is only 18 years old, she’s accomplished far more than most people do in a lifetime. Her career began when she was just 13 after she released her debut song “Ocean Eyes” on Soundcloud.

Things picked up for Eilish in 2019, when she released her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The album was a massive hit, selling over 1.3 million copies in just 3 months. It also earned significant praise from critics and won five Grammys, including Album of the Year, according to the Grammy website.

In 2020, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Was added to Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, coming in at #397.

Billie Eilish still lives with her family

Although many would assume that a successful artist such as Eilish has her own lavish home, she actually still lives at home with her parents. She shared during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she never moved out following her massive success. Kimmel then asked her whether she lives with her parents, or if technically they live with her.

“Like both, probably. Like, I’m living with them at home, and then on tour, they’re living with me. That’s what it is.”

Eilish also confirmed that their home is the same one she grew up in. According to Elish, her brother moved out, but still returns home frequently for “laundry.”

Does Grammy Winner, Billie Eilish Regret Being Homeschooled?

Earlier this year, Eilish swept the Grammy Awards, winning Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Record of the Year, among others. For Eilish, the moment was more special because she grew up watching the Grammys every year in the same living room

“I mean the Grammys is the Grammys,” Eilish said. “So it’s like, as cool as everything else is, it’s like, the Grammys. You know what I mean? Like that’s—I’ve watched that every single year of my entire life. Like judging all the girls’ ugly ass dresses. Um, but that’s like every year, my family, and me, we would all sit in the living room, watch the Grammys. Like, we never missed it. So, the fact that I’m the same like, little girl watching that in my living room, and then I’m still in that same living room being nominated for six, like what is that?”

Eilish also confirmed during the interview that her parents would attend the 2020 Grammy Awards with her. Clearly, Eilish and her parents maintain a very close relationship, despite fame and fortune.
