Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are one of music’s hottest power couples at the moment. They seem to be very serious about each other and are even making a lot of changes in their lives to accommodate one another.

For example, Shelton is a big part of Stefani’s children’s lives. And Stefani has also been spending a lot of time in Shelton’s home state of Oklahoma.

However, according to Shelton, no change has been as important for him as this one thing that Stefani brought into his life.

Shelton and Stefani first met in 2014 when Stefani joined The Voice as a temporary judge. At the time, both of them were still married to other people.

By 2015, though, both Shelton and Stefani had announced that they were divorcing their respective spouses.

In late 2015, there were suddenly rumors about Shelton and Stefani being together. It didn’t take long before the pair confirmed their relationship and began attending events together.

Since then, their relationship has gotten very serious. There are constantly rumors about Shelton and Stefani getting married. Though, the couple has not shared many details regarding their supposed wedding.

Blake Shelton said that Gwen Stefani reconnected him with God

For Shelton, though, being with Stefani has been good for his spirituality. In fact, he believes that the way that their relationship started was due to the work of a higher being.

“Both of us know that the timing, and the way she and I met and came together, it just felt like home, that’s not an accident,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight. “I think that the way that she and I were able to save each other’s lives and get ourselves through that time it was evidence to us that God had a hand in it.”

Shelton also told The Tennessean that Stefani got him to go to church again. He said: “I believe in God now more than I ever have in my life.”

Blake Shelton did not talk much about his Christian faith before Gwen Stefani

Like many country artists, Shelton grew up a Christian. However, he was often quiet about his faith before he began dating Stefani.

After he and Stefani got together, it became clear that Shelton was embracing his faith like never before. Back in 2016, Shelton released a song called “Savior’s Shadow” for Christian radio. The song was about his relationship with God as he struggled through his divorce in 2015.

Shelton said in a press release: “At a very dark time in my life last year, I dreamed the first verse of this song. I woke up and immediately wrote it down. Now, looking back, I know it was God’s way of telling me that he’s here and things are gonna be OK.”

In 2019, he also released two more Christian songs: “Jesus Got a Tight Grip” and “God’s Country.”

Gwen Stefani is also very religious

Of course, judging by what we know about Shelton after he began dating Stefani, it’s clear that Stefani herself is very religious as well. In fact, she also echoed Shelton’s belief that their relationship was touched by a divine power.

“At the time when it was going down, never in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine the miracle that happened to me,” she told Yahoo. “Some people don’t like to hear this, but for me it was a spiritual intervention. It was a true miracle. I think the only way I got through all the hard times is just my spiritual faith and my belief in God, because I’ve just seen the miracles around me.”

Additionally, Stefani is a devout Catholic. She has reportedly been trying to get her previous marriage annulled in order to wed Shelton in a church wedding.
