Blue Bloods is back and we get to see what is new with the Reagan family. We will also see some familiar faces that are tied to them.

One of the guest stars this season is Treat Williams, who plays Lenny Ross. Find out how he’s breaking a family dinner tradition and what he loves about working with Tom Selleck.

‘Blue Bloods’ will return with its 200th episode

Blue Bloods has made it to 10 seasons and the premiere will be its 200th episode. There were some photos previously released of the cast celebrating the milestone together with cake.

The show released a video of the cast talking about the premiere. “Every year when we get together on the show, it’s like family reuniting,” said Danny Wahlberg.

Sami Gayle then said, “But this year specifically is incredibly momentous, because we are celebrating the 200th episode.” Tony Terraciano mentioned that he’s basically spent his childhood working on the show.

There isn’t much revealed about what will happen in the premiere. However, there is one thing that has been teased.

Lenny Ross will eat at family dinner

Lenny Ross (Treat Williams) was Frank’s first partner on the job. We’ve seen him a few times before and now he’s back for family dinner.

“It’s the first family dinner where we’ve actually had a guest who’s not a member of the family,” said Selleck in the video teasing the episode. “So it’s an interesting dynamic in this scene.”

We know that when Lenny comes around there is usually a curveball for Frank. The rest of the Reagans will probably be in for something interesting with his appearance.

“I don’t think they’re used to somebody being Frank’s equal, being comfortable with Frank to call him nicknames and to give him a hug and to kiss him on a cheek,” Williams told TV Insider.

Treat Williams said Selleck is from the same era as him

The actors play old friends on the screen so it’s important that they feel like they have some kind of connection in real life. Williams talked about what it’s like to work with Selleck.

“It’s really wonderful because Tom and I are basically of the same period, the same era, so we’re very comfortable together,” he told TV Insider. He went on to talk about how this comes into play with their characters.

“I think the chemistry is great because you can really tell these guys have been through the wars together back in the day,” said Williams. “Both of us having played cops so much, we’re very comfortable with that, too.”

Of course, Williams isn’t the only one who enjoys working with Selleck. Will Estes talked about working with him in the video released before the new episode.

“We had Tom as our fearless leader,” said Estes. “And I think all those things contributed a lot to its longevity and its success.”

Fans will have to see how it all comes together. Blue Bloods Season 10 premieres on Sept. 27 on CBS at 10/9 CDT.
