There is a small break in Blue Bloods. But the show will return with a dramatic episode for Eddie (Vanessa Ray). Here is when season 12 returns and what will happen in the next episode.

‘Blue Bloods’ Season 12 has a short break

Blue Bloods returned with the Reagans continuing to be hard at work. Frank (Tom Selleck) has continued to have problems with Mayor Chase (Dylan Walsh). The police commissioner considered resigning but decided to stick with his job.

Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is still an assistant to the District Attorney. The family showed their support for her running for District Attorney. But she hasn’t made her final decision yet.

Eddie came clean to Jamie (Will Estes) that she had secretly been studying for the sergeant exam. She might be looking for a promotion.

Everything with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) has mostly stayed the same. But his younger son, Sean (Andrew Terraciano), has also left for college.

When does ‘Blue Bloods’ Season 12 return?

There wasn’t a new episode on Oct. 29, so that leaves the question of when will the show return? According to IMDb, the next episode will air on Nov. 5. Fans will be getting one week off for Halloween for the show.

The next episode is called “Good Intentions.” The description reads, “Jamie and Eddie experience marital tension when Eddie allows her newly released ex-convict father to live with them; Danny and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) go out of their way to help a desperate man find his missing sister.”

Eddie’s father, Armin (William Sadler), was last seen in season 9 in the episode “Identity.” It was right before her and Jamie’s wedding. Armin asked to talk to Jamie. The sergeant goes to visit him in prison. The father says he wants to walk Eddie down the aisle and wants Jamie’s help to get a furlough.

It doesn’t take long for the married couple to catch Armin in a lie. He lied to Jamie, saying Eddie has been writing him letters even though that’s not true. In the end, the couple visits Armin together. Eddie first offers him an invite but takes it back when she realizes he’s scamming her. Frank was the one who walked Eddie down the aisle.

So Eddie and Armin haven’t been on good terms. It’s a huge leap for them to start living together, and also not surprising that this would be stressful on Jamie and Eddie’s marriage. Only time will tell if it’ll last very long.

This also gives an opportunity for Armin to be a guest at the Reagan’s dinner table. Eddie’s mother previously ate with them for the wedding. But we also know that the family dinners are pretty exclusive.
