Once again, Blue Bloods introduced a new character. She had a very tragic experience with Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) back in the day and has found it hard to move on. This is how Jill Carmago made her entrance and who played her.

The episode “Fallen Heroes” starts with Jamie (Will Estes) riding with an officer going through training. This cop comes across Jill, who steals a water bottle and forcefully restrains her. Jamie stops him but still arrests her. He then releases her after downplaying the incident.

The cop complains about Jamie for this. Frank (Tom Selleck) isn’t happy with Jamie defending this woman, who uses drugs.

Frank later meets Jill himself after finding out why Jamie has been protecting her. She was in the Marines and was in a unit that supported Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) company in a mission.

She drove a lead vehicle in a convoy when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off. Jill said Danny was next to her, and there was a tough fight. Jamie recognized her name and has been helping her. But he promised never to reveal her current state.

The episode ends with Jill reuniting with Danny. He finally convinces her to try a rehabilitation program again.

Who played Jill Carmago?

Jill Carmago was played by Katie Kreisler. Her first role on IMDb was playing Tricia in an episode of The Job in 2002.

She went on to do smaller roles on Without a Trace, It’s Always a Sunny in Philadelphia, Medium, Law & Order, The Good Wife and more.

Some of the Blue Bloods stars and Kreisler share other shows. Kreisler played Sarah on Younger, Peter Hermann plays Charles Brooks on that show along with Erin Reagan’s (Bridget Moynahan) ex-husband, Jack Boyle.

Acting on television isn’t Kreisler’s only job. She directed the 2004 movie, Melinda and Melinda. The actor also has a Broadway career and was in “Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, Parts One And Two”  and “The House Of Blue Leaves”.

The cast for future episodes of Blue Bloods has yet to be revealed. But since the show typically switches up the new faces every episode, it’s less likely fans will see Kreisler again this season.

However, people who knew the Reagans back in the day have popped up in multiple seasons. Jill may cross paths with Danny again in the future.

Jill isn’t the only woman from the past that has been introduced this season. Jamie’s old friend, Alison Gable (Erin Neufer), previously appeared asking for his help to catch a killer. We will have to wait to see if there will be more blasts from the past this season.
