For fans asking when The Bob Hearts Abishola and The Neighborhood crossover airs, CBS announced it for March 14, 2022.

“While details remain scarce, we can confirm that the crossover goes down on Bob Hearts Abishola (at 8:30/7:30c) and will feature Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold in character as Calvin and Tina,” TVLine reports.

In Bob Hearts Abishola Season 3, Episode 15, “Compress to Impress,” guest stars Briga Heelan (B Positive) plays Marion, a commercial director brought in to film a TV spot for MaxDot, the company Billy Gardell’s Bob Wheeler runs.

“Marion wants to focus the ad on the Wheeler family, but Bob is not convinced that his kin are cut out for the small-screen,” TVLine reports. While Bob and Abishola deal with company issues, CBS revealed no word on how Calvin and Tina could fit in.

The showrunners even opened up about how the Bob Hearts Abishola and The Neighborhood crossover came about. Chuck Lorre pitched the idea to his fellow creators to bring in the other CBS comedies. Then, they set up the Butlers and the Wheelers colliding in the “Monday Night Television Universe.”

Bob Hearts Abishola Season 3 has dealt with Bob and Abishola figuring out their future together. The Neighborhood Season 4 pit Calvin and Dave (New Girl Max Greenfield) in more hilarious situations. However, the Bob Hearts Abishola creators wanted to shake things up even more with The Neighborhood crossover.

“When we were discussing the episode, Chuck came up with the idea to reach out to Cedric, Tichina, and all our Monday night friends at The Neighborhood,” Bob Hearts Abishola co-creator Al Higgins told TVLine. “We’ve loved teaming up with them every week, and this was a fun way to honor that.”

And the Bob Hearts Abishola cast and crew loved working together with The Neighborhood cast members.

“Cedric and Tichina were fantastic,” he continues. “We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and can’t wait to share the episode with fans of both shows.”

Gina Yashere will guest star with ‘The Neighborhood’ cast at a later date

While one Bob Hearts Abishola and The Neighborhood crossover sounds exciting, another actor will be jumping shows as well. Bob Hearts Abishola co-creator Gina Yashere, who plays Kemi, will also guest star in The Neighborhood as a party planner named Chika.

“Gina Yashere is a hugely talented comedian, writer, and actress who makes me laugh out loud. I’m so excited to have her join us on The Neighborhood! I know she’s going to bring plenty of energy and joy,” The Neighborhood showrunner Meg DeLoatch told TVLine.

Both CBS sitcoms have proved the highest performing comedies alongside the Ghosts TV show.

While CBS has not set a date for Yashere’s appearance on The Neighborhood, fans can catch the crossover with Bob Hearts Abishola on March 14, 2022, at 8:30/7:30c.
