The former ‘Fuller House’ star died as the result of head trauma

A statement released by Saget’s family on Feb. 9 revealed that the Full House star died due to head trauma.

The statement subsequently contained details of the comedian’s death, reported CNN.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep,” the statement read.

The family further clarified that there were no other reasons for Saget’s death, saying “no drugs or alcohol were involved.”

The family’s statement came after autopsy results concluded there was no evidence of “drug use or foul play” that caused the Full House star’s death.

The Orange County Medical Examiner in Florida released their findings one day after Saget’s passing, reported CNN.

“The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation, which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete,” said Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany to CNN.
