How did Brad Pitt and Alia Shawkat meet?

Last fall, Pitt and Shawkat sparked romance rumors when they were spotted out in public on several occasions. In October, for instance, fans noticed them attending a comedy show, and a month later, they toured an art gallery in Los Angeles.

Fast forward to March and the pair enjoyed a concert together. After the show, they grabbed a bite to eat at a local In-N-Out restaurant and seemed to have a great time. And on April 18, photographers caught Shawkat riding her bike near Pitt’s home.

Fans speculated that Shawkat was visiting Brad Pitt, who has been laying low at his home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Pitt and Shawkat have not addressed the rumors surrounding their relationship. According to Hollywood Life, sources claim that they met after Pitt showed an interest in Shawkat’s art. They immediately hit it off and have become good friends ever since.

“Brad is a fan of Alia’s work,” an insider dished. “Alia is kind of a big deal in the LA art scene, and since the divorce, Brad has been hanging out in that world more and more. [Art] is a huge part of his life, so it makes sense that his social group has expanded to other artists.”

Sources claim Pitt and Shawkat are just friends

Although they have spent a good deal of time together, sources insist that Pitt and Shawkat are just good friends. An insider recently revealed that Pitt thinks the romance rumors are funny and that they are besties because they have “so much in common.”

“Brad laughs off dating rumors because he gets it all the time,” the insider shared. “Right now, they are just friends who have so much in common. It’s very much a best friends vibe with Brad and Alia, as they have a great connection with similar interests and likes in the arts.”

The source went on to say that Brad Pitt views Shawkat as a “trusted outlet” and that he believes she is a “great person” to call a friend.

Pitt, of course, separated from his second wife, Angelina Jolie, in 2016. The two were together for over a decade before calling it quits. Pitt has since been linked to several women in Hollywood since the breakup but has yet to reveal any details related to his romantic life.

Alia Shawkat is one of the “most important” people in Brad Pitt’s life

Although they only recently became friends, a source claims that Pitt views Shawkat like a sister and that the actor thinks she is “one of the most beautiful people” he has ever met.

According to Meaww, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star thinks so highly of Shawkat that he has even introduced her to Jennifer Aniston, another one of his best friends.

“Brad thinks Alia is one of the most beautiful people in the world but he looks at her as more of a sister and has come to count her as one of the most important people in his life,” the source dished.

The source added that the Arrested Development star has become close with Aniston and jokes that she would rather spark up a romance with her than Brad Pitt.

Shawkat, of course, has not commented on the rumors about her friendship with Pitt. But based on their frequent outings, it is evident that they have grown close.

Pitt blasts Donald Trump on ‘Saturday Night Live’

While Brad Pitt has been keeping low-key amid the coronavirus pandemic, the actor recently took part in a hilarious at-home skit for Saturday Night Live. Pitt appeared in front of the camera portraying Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Pitt opened the skit by introducing himself and commenting about how President Donald Trump has been spreading “a lot of misinformation” related to COVID-19.

“Good evening, I’m Dr. Anthony Fauci. First, I’d like to thank all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring, and sometimes graphic emails,” Pitt started. “Now, there’s been a lot of misinformation about the virus, and yes, the president has taken some liberties with our guidelines.”

Pitt then slammed Trump’s recent comments about how they are close to coming out with a vaccine for the coronavirus. The actor joked that Trump said the vaccine will be released “relatively soon,” adding that “relatively is an interesting phrase.”

“Relative to the entire history of Earth? Sure, the vaccines going to come real fast. But if you were to tell a friend, “I’ll be over relatively soon”, and showed up a year and a half later… Well, your friend may be relatively p*ssed off.”

Brad Pitt went on to comment on Trump’s mention that the coronavirus was going to miraculously disappear once the vaccine is in place, saying that “miracles” should not be the first plan of action.
