Comedian and Bravo superfan John Oliver threw down on the Below Deck Sailing Yacht drama between chief stew Jenna MacGillivray and Madison Stalker during a recent episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Oliver knows his Bravo and has been a serious Housewives fan for years. But now he’s moving into the Below Deck space and thinks maybe Stalker is being a little too extra for MacGillivray. Oliver’s knowledge of yachting hierarchy was on full display too as he knows full well that as a second stew you need to suck it up and do your job.

But Oliver’s 30-second take on the current season says it all, including the fact that he’s onto chef Adam Glick and how he’s probably stringing MacGillivray along.

Oliver thinks ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ would be better than what’s being delivered during the pandemic

Oliver’s share about Below Deck Sailing Yacht surfaced as an example of how President Donald Trump likes to parrot what he sees on television. But then Trump uses it as fact. Oliver finds this practice especially dangerous because Trump is using television content to inform the public during his coronavirus press briefings.

Instead of using The Next Revolution with Steve Hilton as a springboard for White House briefings, Oliver has a better suggestion. “Why not go with Below Deck Sailing Yacht,” Oliver suggests. “That way we get to hear the President of the United States tell us about how Adam the chef is a tease.”

“And how Madison needs to understand her role in the interior pecking order,” he continued. “And start listening to her chief stew because Jenna does not need to take her sh*t.” He adds while the content wouldn’t be helpful during a pandemic. “But at least it wouldn’t be actively harmful,” Oliver says.

Oliver may get his ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ wish (at least on the show)

Although it is highly unlikely the President of the United States is going to treat the public to his recap of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Oliver may get to see Stalker really kick it up a notch during the next episode.

In an upcoming clip, Stalker is in charge of setting up a beach picnic. After the last picnic setup, MacGillivray is nervous. Stalker’s last beach picnic was thrown together at the last minute and MacGillivray was pretty unhappy.

However, cameras capture Stalker and deckhand Chris Miller attending to every detail on the beach. They included twinkle lights and torch lighting, which peppers the sand. She and Miller are seen putting a significant amount of thought into the nighttime beach bonfire. Thankfully it ends up being magical for the guests.

MacGillivray is stunned and incredibly impressed. In fact, so were the guests. One guest exclaims, “Oh my gosh look! OK, can someone tell me if this is real life right now?” MacGillivray and Glick survey the layout. “This is actually beautiful though with that rock in the background,” MacGillivray admits.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is on Monday at 9/8c on Bravo.
