Fans wonder if Anthony and Kate, played by actors Jonathan Bailey And Simone Ashley, will return for Bridgerton Season 3.

The viscount finds a longing love he cannot ignore in ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2
The series creator and executive producers kept their promise of the second season by toning down the sex scenes. Instead, fans got a steamy and palpable forbidden love story between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. Anthony looks for a suitable bride to marry in the season, but not out of love.
He finds newcomer and the season’s new diamond Edwina Sharma the perfect fit. Her older sister Kate comes in his way when learning he does want a loving marriage. Their battle and arguments soon turn into a fiery passion and longing. While everyone around the pair sees the truth, Anthony refuses to follow his heart.
When Edwina opens her eyes to the shocking and heartbreaking reality, she makes a decision for her own sake. Anthony and Kate can no longer fight their love for each other. In Bridgerton Season 2 finale, the viscount finds his new wife and live happily ever after. Will the characters return for season three?
Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley tease fans of their involvement in ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3
When news of Regé-Jean Page exited from Bridgerton as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, fans were left heartborken. But his departure was adequate as his character was meant to exist for only one season. Instead, Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, returned for season two with an explanation for his absence.
The executive producers have explained each season of the series would focus entirely on a new sibling and their story. The Bridgerton family would still make appearances. But Bailey and Ashley explain to ET whether or not they will return for Bridgerton Season 3 and future seasons.
“I think we intend to be at every wedding. We’ll be there for the siblings going foward, absolutely. We’re so excited as well to support the others in their love story, and that’s what it’s all about,” said Bailey. Ashley gleefully agreed with her co-star.
Anthony and Kate have their own stories to continue outside the main storyline as a newly married couple. Fans will have to wait and see how much of Anthony and Kate will appear in the upcoming season. Bailey’s statement can imply his and Ashely’s characters will make cameo appearances in Bridgerton Season 3, just like Daphne.
What will happen to Edwina Sharma and the other Bridgertons in the new season?
Now that a new couple has been established, it is time for fans to look foward to a new possible romance for the leading family. But some will be inclined to wonder what will happen with Edwina. The last fans saw her, the Queen had taken a liking to her and was teasing her with plans to introduce her nephew, a prince.
ET asked Charithra Chandra if she would return for the next season. The actor explains Bridgerton is about the Bridgerton family at its core. “At the end of the day, she is not part of that family. She’s not directly a part of that family,” explained Chandra.
She might be implying that her character no longer has a place in the stories moving foward. Fans are eager to see what Bridgerton Season 3 has in store. While Benedict’s story was teased, so was Colin’s possible pursuit of true love.
