Britney Spears was all over the media around the time she shaved her head. It turns out she reached out to an actor who she looked up to for help at the time. This is what Sharon Stone had to say about Spears’ letter and current situation.

‘Framing Britney Spears’ focused on her conservatorship

A group of fans has been worried about Spears for some time because she’s under the control of a conservatorship, which is unusual for someone her age. Fans created the “Free Britney” movement in reaction to that.

The documentary, Framing Britney Spears, followed her career from the very beginning to the current day. It claimed her father, Jamie, wasn’t involved with her career in the beginning. The episode claimed he tried to make money several ways instead and went to rehab because of alcohol use. Now he has a lot of control over her career, given he’s part of the conservatorship.

Many fans were hoping to hear what Spears has to say about the documentary. But she doesn’t normally give statements. The singer eventually posted a video of herself dancing on Instagram on March 30 and acknowledged the documentary in the caption.

“I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes !!!! I do what I can in my own spirituality with myself to try and keep my own joy … love … and happiness!!!!” read part of the caption.

Her fans were still skeptical about whether the star was in control of her account. “Instead of dancing, can we get a video of you typing your own captions next time? I want to believe you it’s you speaking for yourself, but I am skeptical [sic] We love you!” Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset commented.

Stone revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that the singer reached out to her in 2007. “Britney wrote to me a very long and important, poignant letter during a very difficult time in her life — about the time when people would recognize it when she shaved her head — wanting me to help her,” she said.

But it sounds like Stone wasn’t having an easy time herself. “I was in a very difficult time of my life, and I couldn’t help myself,” she said. “But the truth of the matter is we both needed help. She needed help, and I needed help.”

Stone said it’s hard to be a successful woman and not have other people controlling you. She said when that happens, and there is a “breaking point.” “The thing with Britney Spears is so out of control and so awful,” Stone said.
