Britney Spears has a whole new outlook on life now. After 13 years, her conservatorship has finally come to an end. Fans of the singer have been fighting for her to be free of the control of her father, Jamie Spears, and her family for years. Now that all of that strife is over, what will Britney do next?

Britney Spears wanted to get married and have kids

The conservatorship took a lot of decisions away from Britney. She revealed in her court hearing in June that she wanted to get married and have children, but was not allowed to during the conservatorship.

“I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” she said. “I was told right now, in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby.”

“I have an [IUD] inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant,” she continued “I wanted to take the [IUD] out, so I can start trying to have a baby.”

Britney, who has been with her now fiancé, Sam Asghari, since 2017, told the court that she deserved the choice to have a family.

“I’m tired of feeling alone,” she said. “I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does by having a child, a family, any of those things.”

What will Britney do now that the conservatorship is over?

Since the conservatorship ended, everyone has been wondering what Britney plans to do now. First, she plans to finally get married. But she also posted a video to Instagram explaining the rest of her plans.

“What am I going to do now that the conservatorship’s over with?” she asked.

She went on to say how she’s just basking in gratitude right now. Grateful for “being able to have the keys to my car, being able to be independent and feel like a woman and owning a ATM card, seeing cash for the first time, [and] being able to buy candles.”

“But I’m not here to be a victim,” she added. “I lived with victims my whole life as a child, that’s why I got out of my house. And I worked for 20 years and worked my a*s off.”

Britney is not on good terms with some of her family members

Britney and her father have not been on good terms for years. In fact, during her hearing she said that he should be jailed for what he did to her. But recently, it’s come out that she and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, were not in the best place either. Things really got heated when Jamie Lynn announced the release of her memoire, Things I Should Have Said.

“It’s sad to say, but Britney isn’t all that surprised that Jamie Lynn is using this opportunity with the media spotlight on their family to promote her own book,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Britney is continuously let down by her own family. It’s sad because Britney has a heart of gold. All she ever wanted was to support her family before [the conservatorship] began.

“What saddens Britney the most is that Jamie Lynn isn’t even using this opportunity to speak out in support of her,” the source continued. “At this point, Britney is not interested in pursuing a relationship with her sister. And who could blame her?”

Britney hasn’t given any recent updates on where she stands with her family post-conservatorship.
