Britney Spears unfollowed sister Jamie Lynn Spears

On Jan. 2, fans of Britney noticed that the famous singer no longer followed her sister Jamie Lynn on Instagram. On the social media platform, Britney follows 46 accounts.

A quick search shows that Britney does not follow Jamie Lynn’s Instagram account. However, Jamie Lynn follows around 600 accounts on Instagram and still follows Britney’s account.

Britney’s conservatorship ended in November 2021. In July 2021, Britney called out Jamie Lynn and her family for treating her poorly throughout the conservatorship.

“I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill … yet people still try,” Britney wrote on Instagram.

The singer stood up against her family

Since the conservatorship ended in November 2021, it is clear Britney has taken a stand against her family. In an Instagram post from December 2021, the singer went into more detail about what she went through under the conservatorship.

“I was NICE, FAKE, and I was absolutely screaming inside,” Britney wrote on Instagram. “I wanted to be nice but what they did to my heart was unforgivable !!!!! I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs …. I had two months off in between each show settings for four years in Vegas … and every time I asked I was told ‘No….'”

Once again, Britney called out sister Jamie Lynn for using the conservatorship to perform her songs.

“It was a set up to make me fail yet I knew exactly what I wanted my fans to see and it didn’t make sense how network television shows are showcasing my music with remixes of all my music …. yet the person who owns the music is told no !!!! They even gave remixes to my sister but why was I always told no?” Britney wrote.

Britney Spears does not plan to release any upcoming music

In the Instagram post from December 2021, Britney revealed music industry scares her, and she does not plan to release music for the time being.

“So much wasted time to only embarrass me and humiliate me and I guess it seems odd to most now why I don’t even do music anymore… that’s just the surface issues. People have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally … and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business !!!! They really hurt me !!!!!!!” Britney wrote.

She added, “Not doing music anymore is my way of saying ‘F*** you’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work.”
